“But I am a believer, why do I keep hitting stop loss?”
Here is the honest answer most people won’t tell you.
Faith does not cancel uncertainty.
Belief does not override probability.
And the market does not recognize your prayers, your fasting, or how pure your intentions are.
Stop loss is not a punishment. It is not a sign that God is against you. It is not proof that you are doing something wrong spiritually. It is simply the market doing what markets have always done: move in uncertainty.
Many believers struggle in trading because, without realizing it, they replace discipline with expectation. You start feeling that because you are a believer, this trade should work. And when it doesn’t, it feels personal. Almost unfair.
But faith was never meant to remove risk.
Faith was meant to give you peace inside risk.
Think about it this way:
Even in the Bible, outcomes were never guaranteed, obedience was. Noah obeyed before rain existed. David still faced Goliath. Peter still sank before learning how to walk on water. Process always came before results.
A stop loss is not failure.
It is humility in action.
It is you admitting: “I don’t control the market.”
And ironically, that mindset is what keeps traders alive long enough to win.
God does not reward recklessness.
He rewards stewardship.
Risk management is stewardship.
Patience is stewardship.
Accepting losses without anger is stewardship.
You don’t become profitable by avoiding losses.
You become profitable by surviving them without breaking your rules, your psychology, or your character.
So if you keep hitting stop loss, don’t ask,
“Why is God allowing this?”
Ask instead, “Am I respecting probability, structure, and patience?”
Because belief doesn’t mean every trade wins.
Belief means you trust the process even when the outcome hurts.
And the moment you stop seeing stop loss as an attack on your faith, and start seeing it as protection for your journey, your trading and your peace will change.
December started crazy lol. This month always exposes who is trading with a plan and who is just reacting with emotion.
How has it been treating you so far?
This isn't little. Congratulations 👏
There's nothing that beats coming back from a stressful day - to your own house, pour a glass from your own fridge, cook from your own kitchen
And still find everything JUST AS YOU LEFT THEM, in the morning.
Nothing more peaceful.
The algorithms have owners. The owners have location-specific agendas. The things the algorithms push in front of your eyeballs are determined by your location and the owners' agenda for it.
That's why there are several Nigerian TikTok creators and streamers who make interesting, engaging content about Nigerian history and current affairs, but except you stumble across them, you won't even know that they exist. What the algorithm will constantly push to your Nigerian eyeballs instead is "Peller" and "Jarvis."
There are funny and intelligent Nigerian stand-up comedians like Bovi who upload Instagram Reels content, but the algorithm will not regularly push them to you. If not for their large offline following, you would barely notice them. The Instagram Reels algorithm will instead constantly push brainrot Nigerian skitmakers to saturate your Nigerian brain with the psychological equivalent of codeine.
If you want to know what agenda the algorithm owners have in mind for a specific location, simply find out who the algorithms have made famous in that location. And if you live in a location where the algorithms want to fill your head with nothing but mindless brainrot, you owe a responsibility to yourself to resist being programmed by rich people who are literally trying to code stupidity into entire populations.
Because everything is war.
I suggest that you become obsessed about the things you want otherwise, you are going to spend a lifetime being obsessed with making up excuses as to why you didn't get the life you wanted.
