"Olu my brother, you fought like a man. Rest in peace, my brother. Joke, you did your best."
Chief Pete Edochie's tribute to the late Chief Olu Jacobs ๐ฅน
THEY CALLED HIM GUNPOWDER
MASTER WARRANT OFFICER GODWIN CHUKWU
If you served in Liberia or Sierra Leone, you already know the name.
He was not the loudest man in camp. He was the one the line waited for.
ECOMOG. Jungle. Hill. Night.
While some men looked for cover, his brothers say he stayed on the GPMG and held the ground so the rest of the platoon could breathe.
Liberia. Sierra Leone.
The battles that still sit in veteransโ bones.
They did not name him Gunpowder for fashion.
They named him because when he arrived, the fight changed.
He cheated death enough times to come home. That is not a movie. That is a living ECOMOG story.
Today we mark the man while he can still hear it.
Veterans who heard that gun in the West African bush: drop a salute.
SALUTE TO GUNPOWDER.
We remember the sacrifice.
Thank a soldier today.
Pray for a soldier always.
Support our troops.
VIDEO: Nigeria Records First Tele-Robotic Surgery As Surgeon Operates On Abuja Patient From Ogun
Nigeria has recorded its first tele-robotic surgery, with a surgeon remotely performing a complex kidney cancer operation on a patient in Abuja from Mowe, Ogun State.
The procedure, a robot-assisted right radical nephrectomy to remove a cancerous kidney tumour, was conducted by Redeemerโs Health Village in collaboration with RoboMed Global. The surgeon operated the robotic system in real time from a Toumai console at the facility in Ogun State, while the patient was at Nisa Premier Hospital in Abuja, about 500 kilometres away.

Willie Murray-Bruce
The Biafran Air Force Pilot From Akassa.
This is Captain Willie Murray-Bruce, often written as Willy.
During the Nigerian Civil War from 1967 to 1970, he served as a pilot and senior officer in the Biafran Air Force.
You can see him here in flight gear, with the Biafran sun patch on his sleeve and โHOINESSโ on his cap.
He comes from the well-known Murray-Bruce family of Akassa in present-day Bayelsa State. Many people know the name today because of his younger brother, Ben Murray-Bruce, the senator, businessman, and founder of Silverbird Group.
Willie was part of the small group of Biafran aviators who flew under very difficult conditions during the war. The Murray-Bruce family remains one of the respected Ijaw families from the Niger Delta with roots in Akassa.
The world map you've known all your life is wrong! Nearly every country at the UN voted to adopt a new map that shows a more accurate size of Africa after ~500 years of "symbolic minimization."
Only the US voted against it.
I explained why this is important on CNN
Some brainless overzealous asslickers if Tinubu went to threaten this former British MP because he spoke about BAT.
Now the man says he will not leave Tinubuโs neck alone since they threatened him.
Why are these fools just so stupid?
