The West African Black Mud Turtle is a freshwater turtle, endemic to permanent wetlands in forested areas of West Africa and is recognizable within the genus by its hooked maxillary beak.
This species is carnivorous and feeds on aquatic prey.

In 2017, with the help of Lt. Dr. @ehiebewele, we got 100 tree seedlings and handed them over to participants (mostly children) during @Wildlife_A_CREW's World Nature Conservation Day.
