Wow what fantastic news for #yeg and #ualberta! With the talent coming from #ualberta’s AI research, Edmonton ranks fastest-growing tech sector in North America! https://t.co/ulXa5JYCFk
Immunologists/molecular biologists have some of the greatest challenges in bringing their research to the general population. Twitter however does allow you to connect with people who can understand your research @JessicaMABlair @DrDDOM. Thanks for taking up the challenge.
Salmonella typhimurium infections are one of the major causes of diarrhoeal disease worldwide. My research delves into bacterial protein interactions with host receptors to uncover new antimicrobial interventions.

What are pre-service teachers’ levels of mathematics knowledge for teaching?
PSTs have different levels of math subject knowledge. My research explores their perceptions of the development of this math knowledge.

@MathPenfold What do you think has the biggest impact on preservice teachers perceptions of their ability to teach math? Do you think this will be similar for other subjects taught in schools? Will it be the same for primary and secondary teachers?
@Delyea_Cole So if I have this correct, the Salmonella is able to corrupt cells that would detect it and you are trying to understand how to either stop or manipulate this process (protein interaction) to eventually control Salmonella.
@QStorozynsky Liked the navigation in your poster! Does doing research on such a serious disease impact you? Do you feel like you have a large weight on your shoulders? Or does it keep you inspired? Your results are certainly inspiring.
@mariah_hermary Mariah, Is it possible to scale-up the production of the bacteria and what would be the biggest challenge? Really exciting to see the variety of products these bacteria can produce - they are amazing little factories.
@nzediegwu23@ua_futureenergy@UAlberta@Biochar_IBI@Biocharro I really like the idea of using waste materials to clean up more waste materials. This looks like it could be adapted to many communities globally. What do you think will be the limiting factor of implementing more widely?
@la_bettini What will be the next steps for people living in the area of Taranaki? Do you see similar responses/outcomes from communities around the world where fracking takes place?
@LeiZhan14703138 Lei, How significant is the weight reduction of the composite? I suspect this is where the reduction of demand on the foundation is from. Where do you see this technology being more commonly applied?
