This beautiful pendant was found during excavations at Kostenki 17 last summer. It was left behind by a modern human over 40,000 years ago. #EMHEProject#IceAge#culture
This lithic from Kostënki 17 was discarded after being used as a core for small bladelets, which were detached down its edge. Some of these bladelets were then further shaped, probably for use on hunting kit.
