Our latest collaboration with the lab of Axel Brunger on enhancing the affinity of HR2 inhibits for Omicron specific SARS-CoV-2 variants is now published in PNAS (@PNASNews). Work led by @emkailu with the help of @ChuchuWang0820, @ajbKreutzberger

Today @emkailu is presenting new research on weaponizing part of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein against itself to prevent infection at #BPS2023; check out the spotlighted research at https://t.co/jxfhcGstmB @stanfordmed @hmminews #coronavirus#spikeprotein
"We discovered a simple peptide that inhibits
infection by all major variants of #SARSCoV2 with nanomolar efficacies."

Check out our first preprint of the 1.55 Å cryo-EM structure of the bacterial translating ribosome!! An awesome collaboration between our group at @UVA with the @SimoneMattei19 group at the Imaging Centre at @EMBLHeidelberg and the Atkins group at @UCC https://t.co/4MeDZSylK6
Excited to share a new preprint from a wonderful collaboration with the Brunger lab. We found that extending the length of HR2 domain inhibitory peptides have a 100-fold increase in inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
