It's never a bad time to share the 'Rights of the Reader' poster here on Twitter. That final statement is a powerful one:
'10 rights - 1 warning: Don't make fun of people who don't read - or they never will.'

Leaders, it is the little things that build culture. Greeting staff, students, parents, in the halls, cafeteria, bus line, car pool, etc. Asking how they are doing, asking about family, and taking time to listen. This builds relationships, culture, and commitment!
Thank you to our parents who were our mystery readers helping us celebrate #BookWeekScotland The children were enthralled and loved listening to their parents in class.
Students need love, patience, and grace, and they also need routines, procedures, responsibilities and expectations. Care for them, but care enough to help them become their very best.
The Rights of the Teacher:
To be respected
To feel valued
To manage your own time
To be trusted
To be supported
To be allowed to get it wrong
To have a life outside school
To be listened to
To be allowed to give an opinion
To affect change
To detach from work
To be yourself
Ineffective leaders don't like strong staff because they can distinguish between confidence and competence. But this is why strong leaders actually like strong staff!
Would any languages' teachers like one of these? I have 4 to give away. This is going to be awkward if no-one wants them! 🙃To enter, simply follow me/retweet if you already do so. My 4 year old will choose winners by Sunday 22/08 🇪🇸🇫🇷
