A handwritten sign appeared in the elevator Monday saying, WHOEVER KEEPS WALKING THE BROWN DOG AT MIDNIGHT, PLEASE TEXT ME. I assumed somebody wanted to complain about barking. By Wednesday, three more residents had added their numbers. The dog belongs to an elderly man on the fourth floor who recently had knee surgery, and different neighbors had quietly been taking turns walking her without coordinating. The sign was from a woman trying to create a schedule. They now have a group chat called Linda’s Staff. I joined after covering Friday night. Linda is the dog. Her owner isn’t in the chat because everyone agrees he would try to pay us. Linda is the only resident in the building with seven personal assistants and no rent.

what even stood out to me in the video is that the machine isn't replacing the paramedics, it's freeing them to do everything else that keeps a resuscitation moving while chest compressions stay consistent and that's the kind of technology i find most impressive, it doesn't replace human skill, it just protects it from human limits yea

Tennessee is preparing to execute Christa Gail Pike (50) on September 30th.

Christa Pike was only 18 when she brutally murdered 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville back in 1995. She was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in 1996. Then she was given a death sentence.

She is expected to become the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than two centuries.
