A Muslim said “Muhammad is the most influential man in the world.”

I said, “so what? He’s known for marrying a child. That’s what you call influential?”

He immediately said, “No, no! Aisha was not a child... She was old enough.”

I said “well the Hadith collections says otherwise.”

He replied “the Hadiths are not reliable so he can’t trust the age.”

I said, “Interesting. So let me ask you something. According to the Quran, who was taken by night to the Farthest Mosque?”

Without hesitation, he said, “Muhammad.”

I said, “Wait. Where did you get Muhammad from?”

He said, “What do you mean?”

I said, “The Quran doesn’t actually name Muhammad in that verse. So how did you know it was Muhammad?”

He said we all know Muhammad was the servant, and some Qurans actually wrote Muhammad.

I said that was a later addition. It was never identified as Muhammad. Matter of fact, when you read the verse after, you���ll actually think it was Moses. So how exactly did you know that was Muhammad?

He said, “The Hadith tells us!”

I said, “Aha! So the hadith is reliable now?” 😂

He said, “No, not everything in the hadith can be trusted.”

I said “How do you know this particular one is true? What if it was someone else?”

He said “it’s not like they reject the Hadith, they just don’t agree fully with it. The Hadith is just like the Bible, written by men and cannot be fully reliable, unlike the Quran.”

I I said, “Ssssssh! Hold it right there. 😂. Wasn’t the Quran also written by men, or did Allah throw it down from paradise?

He said my sister, the Quran is not like other documents. It is Allah’s word.

I said “no it is not. Matter of fact, Allah never spoke directly to Muhammad. We cannot for sure confirm the existence of Allah, because Muhammad never once heard directly from Allah, or even saw a glimpse of him, not even in a vision. So there is no proof it was Allah’s word.”

He started getting angry. 😭

“YOU ARE SLOW! ALLAH IS GOD! HE SENT DOWN THE QURAN!”

I said, “Through what logistics, sir? 😂”

He said “the angel brought the message to Muhammad. Allah is too magnificent, he can’t be seen. He is too powerful. That’s why he sent his angel to deliver the message.”

I said “that is the lie they tell you so you won’t be able to question why Allah couldn’t speak directly to Muhammad, not even in a vision.”

Then I said “there is no evidence the Quran is from Allah, and yes it was written by men just like the Hadiths.”

He got more angry and said I will regret this world. I will stand before Allah.

I said, “Well, according to my Christian faith, Allah is not my God, so I’m not exactly signing up for that appointment… And there is no proof of Allah’s existence.”

And then…
