@ChristianityOn i got over this for the most part by realizing that it's very flattering and nice when other ppl make overt attempts to be friends with me, even when the attempt is clumsy or awkward, and that im probably not so unique that my clumsy attempts would be received any differently
@RackCityBC@tenobrus@Strife212 i don't think that's necessarily an insurmountable barrier, quantum wavefunctions still evolve deterministically according to the schroedinger equation. if you mean to imply that there's randomness involved, then that could still be substituted for your favorite entropy source.
@ChristianityOn@credenzaclear2 i think a lot of autistic ppl would do well to learn the gricean maxims and try to identify how other ppl put them to use in their conversations. a lot of "autistic rudeness" can be reduced to "you unintentionally flouted a maxim or two, and everyone but you picked up on it."
@Aella_Girl it's bc it is at once obvious to anyone who thinks about it, and a very bitter pill for ppl in that situation to swallow. speaking so frankly about it is unnecessary since everyone can see it is true, so she "should" have couched it in much gentler language to avoid being rude.
fun fact, "Hey Jude" is actually a corruption of the true lyrics due to the fact that brits are prone to yod coalescence instead of yod dropping. the song is actually named "Hey Dude"
nephew has finally acquired both the motor skill and the desire to hold his bottle during feeds. sadly, he mostly treats the bottle as a toy now and gets grouchy when milk is not dispensing after he flips it around
