A migrant caravan of 600+ has crossed into Mexico and is walking north. Some say they hope to reach the United States.

Conservative outlets citing reporter Anthony Aguero say two NGOs are funding or supporting the movement: Proyecto Faro (Rockland County, N.Y.) and ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency).

ADRA International has taken large USAID and State Department grants for years. One congressional/CIS compilation cited roughly $51 million (2021), $32 million (2022), $9 million-plus (2023). ADRA itself said it received about $62.6 million from USAID in 2023, a huge share of that year’s contributions. After the 2025 USAID pause, ADRA cut staff and programs.
Conservative reporting also says ADRA was named a partner in a State Department Faith and Community Initiative in August 2026 and had received at least $36 million by the end of 2025. Treat the exact 2025–26 totals as reported.

DHS and Border Patrol are tracking it with international partners.

Their message is clear: the U.S. border is closed.

Anyone who tries to cross illegally will be apprehended, prosecuted, and removed. Catch and release is over.

Every sovereign country on earth treats its border as a line that means something. The United States is not unique for enforcing it.

Look at how other nations handle illegal entry:

🇯🇵 Japan: up to 3 years in prison and/or a large fine.
🇹🇭 Thailand: up to 2 years in prison, a fine, and deportation.
🇦🇪 UAE: imprisonment and deportation.
🇪🇬 Egypt: prison and a fine for illegal entry outside official ports. Crossing the eastern border can bring imprisonment plus a fine.
🇨🇳 China: illegally crossing the border under serious circumstances, up to 1 year in prison and a fine. Organizing others can bring 2 to 7 years, and in the worst cases life in prison.
🇷🇺 Russia: illegal crossing of the state border, fine, forced labor, or up to 2 years in prison. Done as a group, organized, or with violence, up to 5 or 6 years.
🇦🇺 Australia: detention, removal, and multi-year re-entry bans.

Most of the world does not debate whether a country has the right to control who walks across its line. They just enforce it.
