@levie The H1B program is used to keep engineering salaries low. This discourages Americans from entering the engineering profession. Put the emphasis on developing more U.S. citizen engineers. If you had to import one H.R. person for every two engineers guess what would happen?

@RandPaulTulsi @ScottAdamsSays NPR reporters started using "systemic" about 15 years ago as an adjective for racism. It is a physiological term as in a systemic insecticide for plants. I think they were unsure whether to use systematic or endemic and it seemed like a good mash up in their minds.
