Yesterday, I fueled my car and I couldn't believe the amount of fuel I got. Tomorrow, I will have to walk and not drive. - Jane Nalunga

Dark clouds are gathering over Uganda’s private sector, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). I foresee a rough ride ahead as businesses confront high borrowing costs, tightening bank credit, cash-flow pressures and rising operating costs. The economic turbulence could be severe. Banks must become partners in business survival, not merely debt collectors. Government must urgently prioritize affordable credit, liquidity and enterprise protection. SMEs are the backbone of employment and economic growth. When the private sector struggles, the entire economy feels the pain.
HappeningNow: @IECUganda Cohorts 2 & 3 Graduation is underway, celebrating 617 Ugandan SMEs that have successfully completed the SME Development Journey. A significant milestone in strengthening local enterprises and promoting greater participation in Uganda’s Oil & Gas sector.

Time for Uganda and Africa to raise the bar of politics and leadership
Leadership is not just about having a vision. It is about building trust, aligning people and communicating that vision effectively.
Days 10–12 of the PYPA leadership programme explored leadership and public speaking, with practical sessions that challenged us to grow beyond theory.
We examined three core elements of leadership: direction, alignment and commitment. We also reflected on the foundations of trust; communication, competence and character and how these work together to shape effective leadership.
The practical exercises reinforced the importance of teamwork, sharing ideas, working towards common goals and remaining committed to achieving results. Meaningful progress becomes possible when people bring their strengths together and work with a shared purpose.
Our sessions on public speaking challenged us to consider what makes an effective speaker, how to present ourselves, what to do and avoid when addressing an audience, and how to communicate with confidence and clarity.
Personally, I leave these sessions feeling more confident in my public speaking and more conscious of the responsibility that comes with leading and communicating.
Leadership earns trust through character, builds progress through teamwork and inspires action through effective communication.

The man of God, @RobertKayanja has placed a curse on @FrankGashumba for four generations. My concern here is: Does the church still believe in treating people with grace or its something that our pastor just tell the congregation? Secondly, why the rage? Did Gashumba call out God our father?
