Sharing my notes which I made during learning Elixir for myself, cause think that can be helpful for someone else too.
I rarely have time to work with this language and I needed something to quickly refresh my memory whenever I decide to dive back into it.
So, here it is: https://t.co/VGCDNqZrRD
I am glad Hacker News keeps its character and it is still possible to talk about some technical craft with like-minded people.
can't say the same about Reddit.
here is a post of mine about an interesting, elixir + SQLite-backed task queue:

@wakeupyourmind3 In the view of someone who finds Islam entertaining, has some weird account with 20 followers, and tries to construct logic that is around 8-to-10 IQ - it is fine to be a casual.
The funniest part about MMA right now is watching people convince themselves Topuria isn’t special. A lion doesn’t stop being a lion because the sheep start a podcast.
@wakeupyourmind3 sorry, I don't really get what you're trying to achieve here. Are you trying to convince me that Islam is occasionally entertaining?
okay, so when someone doesn't enjoy a 25-minute hugging match, they're a 'casual.'
Thanks for sharing your professional insights.
@wakeupyourmind3 I just can't imagine how boring someone's life must be to watch - I don't know, let's say Islam vs. Jack Della and actually claim that Islam is entertaining, and then start bringing up stats. I just don't understand it
@wakeupyourmind3 Not really, it's not about Gaethje.
I actually find him to be a quite dirty fighter, but definitely not stupid, boring, or uninspiring. I’m talking more about food vloggers like arman or 'intellectuals' like islam, who just cackle like the hyenas from the Lion King

@tornikegomareli yep, the music really suits, plus seeing guys like Arman so happy, makes Ilia look even more impressive in my eyes, cause who are your haters, really speaks a lot about yourself.
never shared it here, but even though it is not as deep technical as other ones, still enjoy most.
meanwhile, a year has passed

Well, we can argue about which agent wins at what task.
But if you’re actually writing, maintaining, or fixing a project - how talking to an agent in a terminal beats having it fully integrated in the IDE.
things change, but we keep pretending that doing everything in a terminal makes us smarter.
we all saw the chart how less and less people use stackoverflow. was funny, right?
recently Meta apps added ability to react/unreact on message in messenger via their graph api.
It clearly does not works as it should. returns meaningless, weird error.
There is open, yet unanswered question on meta devs community about it.
week ago I asked the same question on stackoverflow. No answer.
what we do now?
the task requirements with very few words, merge requests with extremely short descriptions or readmes with just few code examples were way better than these stupid emoji-filled paragraphs.
at least they had a sense.
I wonder if anything changed during the last few months in the x algorithm or if it still shows only posts by "celebrities" or some shitty posts that make you feel overwhelmed but give nothing.
