Quilty lo llama "arguably the most heavily anticipated new rocket".
@SpacBobby Agree it's not a game changer. The near-term test is Nov 9: Q3 guide is $250-265M revenue with gross margin of 29-31%, down from 36.1% in Q2, mostly mix from Space Systems. If they land the top end, the oversold read has a fundamental floor too.
@LeonWaidmann Early October read: USDC at $71.8B on Oct 24 per DefiLlama, down from $74.6B on Sep 30, with 23.6% of a $304.3B stablecoin market. So supply is soft heading into Nov 12. Curious whether you're seeing the same drift on Ethereum or if it's chain rotation.
@brasillianblur@BlackScholesMan Fair on timing. The 14 Oct 8-K already moved Neutron's first launch to 2027, so real cadence before 2028 is a stretch. That's the bottleneck in a nutshell: non-SpaceX supply is so thin that even 2 BlueBirds per flight is capacity AST can't easily get elsewhere.
@RealMattMoney Neutron in 2027 matters less than what carries the story until then. Q3 gross margin was guided down to 29-31% on mix. One-off, or does Space Systems stay below 30% until Iridium closes mid-2027? And how much of the 2026 ATM cash is already spoken for by the deal?
@real_sunny_long The numbers already point that way: Space Systems is ~71% of trailing revenue. Iridium adds the services leg ($871.7M revenue in 2025, 56.8% OEBITDA margin), closing mid-2027 if FCC/CFIUS clear. The open test is margin: Q3 guide cut to 29-31% on mix.
@RKLBMan Agreed. The Oct 14 8-K moved Neutron to 2027; the Nov 9 call is the chance to turn that into a checklist: the milestones left to first launch, each with a date. Then a slip becomes something investors can track, not a surprise.
@WallStConqueror The bar for $FLY in Q4 is cadence, not cost per kg. One Alpha flight so far in 2026 (Mar 12), the year's guide cut from 4 to 3 in Aug, and Flight 8 is the Block II debut off a single pad. Electron flew 21 times in 2025. Two clean flights would change the story.
@LeonWaidmann Agreed. The date to watch is Nov 12, when EBA supervision of USDC as a significant EMT kicks in. If EU banks and funds start treating it as the default regulated stablecoin, share should move before supply does. I'll check the October print against that.
@stocksinspace Transparency matters most right after a slip. The Oct 14 8-K moved Neutron to 2027, so these factory updates now work as a public milestone tracker. Next one is Monday: FAA NOTAM for a 135 ft crane at the Middle River lagoon. Hardware leaving the building beats any render. $RKLB
Worth watching closely: with Neutron officially slipped to 2027 (8-K, Oct 14), hardware physically leaving Middle River is the kind of signal that matters more than any guidance slide. If Monday's lift heads toward Wallops LC-3, the 2027 date starts looking like a schedule, not a hope. $RKLB
@BlackScholesMan Fair, your launch pieces are where I picked it up. The new wrinkle is timing: Neutron slipped to 2027 (8-K, Oct 14), the same window AST needs to reach 45 satellites. That overlap cuts both ways, for AST's schedule and for $RKLB.
The other side of that curve: Starlink was ~79% of SpaceX missions in 2026 (Reuters). Every subscriber added faster than fiber is Falcon 9 capacity no one else gets to book. Scaling by satellite instead of street by street just moves the bottleneck to the launch pad. That's the gap Neutron is built for. $RKLB
