@engineering_bae It is standard for wedding dresses (not sure what kind of dress this is, but that was my gut feeling) to be altered to fit, then have 2 custom adjustments in the 2 weeks leading up to the event. Bodies are changing. Especially brides are changing weight rapidly.

@HerbsandDirt I would really caution you against judging and vilifying parents doing either approach. A tired or depressed parent having a hard time with sleep could be in a really bad post partum place and suggesting that sleep training is cruel could really lead to a bad outcome.
