Our collaboration with researchers from @Harvard, @IBMResearch and @maxplanckpress has resulted in a beautiful paper on Sondheimer oscillations probing non-Ohmic flow in WP2, now published in @NatureComms. Read it here: https://t.co/QmL5goiW3L
The World Economic Forum @wef announced its Class of 2020 Young Scientists, representing 25 exceptional researchers at the forefront of scientific discovery. Our Prof. Philip J.W. Moll is one of them, congratulations! @EPFLEngineering

A new QMAT paper came out today in npj Quantum Materials, demonstrating microscopic control over current jetting in Cd3As2. Read our work "Magnetic electron collimation in three-dimensional semi-metals" here: https://t.co/6ow5d8gfYy
Here we have four anonymous members of QMAT at the Snowmass mountain hard at work preparing for the Aspen winter conference on future directions in topological states of matter. #Aspen
Last Friday, the members of QMAT engaged in a different sort of science: that of #chocolate making. For our group day out, we went to the Maison #Cailler for a delicious workshop, followed by a visit to the Gruyere Christmas market. All agree it was a wonderful day :)
QMAT has a new group picture, showing all current members of the group. Also check out our website (https://t.co/ruRd3TxHWi) for more exciting pictures of our work.
Today, our paper on spatial control of heavy-fermion superconductivity in CeIrIn5 was published in Science. We would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved in this beautiful work.

In order to prepare a truly unique gift for former student Maja Bachmann, QMAT collaborated with Swiss watchmaker Marc Jenni and used focused ion beam micro-machining to engrave the hands of this watch with sub-micrometer precision. @jenniwatch
Last week, both Dr. Maja Bachmann and Dr. Chunyu Guo won prizes for their posters at the international conference on strongly correlated electron systems. A good week for QMAT!
Recent work from QMAT has resulted in a new publication in Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter. Read all about it on our website: https://t.co/3zSbyjbysD
On this first day of QMAT twitter, we say goodbye to Maja (she will be missed!) and welcome Maarten to our group! For this occasion, we had a traditional Vaudoise group dinner.
