It has now been around 1,100 days since my father, Imran Khan, was imprisoned, and my brother and I haven’t heard his voice since March. For months, we’ve been denied contact with him. We remain in the dark about his access to healthcare as his eyesight continues to deteriorate. He urgently needs medical attention, and with no family or legal access, we don’t even get any second hand information or reassurance.

I’ve found myself especially missing him recently. I want to speak to him about mundane things like my cricket, books I’ve been reading and what new movies are good. I understand the people of Pakistan want their chosen leader free, but I miss my father more than ever.

But this is not just about a father. It is about Pakistan, and its future. A rigged, authoritarian regime continues to crush political opposition, undermine democratic institutions, and deny millions of Pakistanis their right to freely choose their leaders, whilst terrorising those who speak their beliefs.

I once again plea to the international community to not look away. Silence in the face of injustice only enables it.

The phrase "Dogs and Indians” , “Dogs and Muslims” , “Dogs and Pashtoons” Dogs and maids” not allowed" (or similar discriminatory signs) was common in colonial-era British clubs in India, reflecting deep-seated racial segregation where locals and their dogs were barred, similar to caste exclusion, creating exclusive spaces for whites; this practice was part of colonial social hierarchy but eventually challenged, leading to the Race Relations Act 1965 in the UK that outlawed such discrimination in public spaces, though its legacy of racial exclusion persisted in clubs for decades.

•Colonial Segregation: In British India, exclusive clubs were built for British expatriates, mirroring European social norms, but strictly enforcing racial separation.
•Racial Hierarchy: The infamous signs, often found on club entrances, explicitly barred both native Indians and dogs, placing them outside the privileged colonial space, notes Benjamin Cohen's study cited in a Business Standard article.
•Symbolic Exclusion: This rule was deeply symbolic, paralleling upper-caste Indian practices of excluding Dalits from temples, reinforcing colonial power structures. 
Shift Towards Equality
•Legal Changes: While this system was entrenched, the mid-20th century saw legal efforts against racial discrimination, culminating in the Race Relations Act 1965 UK Parliament.
•Impact: This Act banned racial discrimination in public places in the UK, though its effects took time to fully dismantle colonial-era social barriers in places like former colonies.”

Today’s DG ISPR press conference by Pakistan military spokesman Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry contained open threats against imprisoned former PM Imran Khan & hundreds of PTI political workers already in illegal detention.

These were not veiled warnings — they were explicit threats of further abuse, fabricated cases & physical harm issued on record by the official military spokesman.

This is a direct assault on democracy, free speech & human rights.

The world cannot stay silent while a serving military officer publicly terrorizes elected leaders & citizens.

We urge the international community to:
•Immediately condemn these threats
•Demand safety & due process for Imran Khan & all political prisoners

Pakistan deserves democracy, not dictatorship in uniform.

خیبر پختونخوا میں اپنے ہی لوگوں کے خلاف ملٹری آپریشن، ڈرون حملوں اور علاقوں سے بے دخلی کروانے کا عمل دراصل تحریک انصاف کی عوامی مینڈیٹ سے بننے والی حکومت کو غیر مقبول کرنے کے لیے کیا جا رہا ہے۔ علی امین گنڈا پور کو اس آپریشن کے خلاف بھر پور مزاحمت کرنی چاہیئے۔ صوبے کی عوام پہلے ہی سیلاب سے تباہ حال ہے۔ اگر وہاں ڈرون حملے اور آپریشن نہ رکا تو یہ بہت بڑی زیادتی ہو گی۔ ہمارے کتنے پولیس اہلکار بھی جام شہادت نوش کر چکے ہیں۔ یہ آپریشن جب تک بند نہیں ہو گا، لوگوں کی مشکلات میں مزید اضافہ ہوتا رہے گا اور دہشتگردی مزید بڑھے گی۔

اس وقت پورا ملک سیلاب میں ڈوبا ہوا ہے۔ پنجاب اور خیبر پختونخوا کے سیلاب کی وجہ سے لوگوں کا بہت نقصان ہوا ہے۔ پوری قوم کو یکجا ہو کر اس صورتحال کا مقابلہ کرنا ہو گا۔ میں اگر جیل سے باہر ہوتا تو ضرور فنڈ ریزنگ اور ٹیلی تھون کرتا مگر اب اپنی قوم سے کہتا ہوں کہ وہ بڑھ چڑھ کر اور دل کھول کر ریلیف کے کاموں اور سیلاب متاثرین کی امداد میں حصہ لیں۔

بلوچستان میں سیاسی جلسے پر ہونے والے حملے کے خلاف احتجاج میں پوری تحریک انصاف کو شرکت کرنی چاہیے۔”

Today once again, in defiance of Islamabad High Court orders, my lawyers, family, and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were denied permission to meet me and were turned away. This is not only a blatant violation of fundamental human rights but also a clear contempt of court. The hearings of the unfounded cases against me are nearing conclusion, after which I will likely be placed in solitary confinement once again.

I direct all party workers and senior lawyers to immediately approach the superior judiciary and file petitions against this open contempt of court. Likewise, regarding the delaying tactics being used in the Al-Qadir Trust case, I instruct that legal action be taken, and a hearing date must be secured before leaving the court premises.

I direct Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi to establish a compact, need-based cabinet. The selection of ministers is entirely his prerogative, as I have proposed no names.

To avoid any confusion or miscommunication, all instructions and correspondence concerning the party matters shall be conveyed solely through the Secretary General, Salman Akram Raja.

Lastly, I wish to make it clear that Ahmad Chattha and Bilal Ejaz are my long-standing and loyal companions. They have stood by me with unwavering loyalty and made tremendous sacrifices. I have not issued any orders for their removal.”
