Additional amenities include elevators for Persons with Disabilities, modern washrooms, shops, and advertising billboards to improve accessibility and generate revenue.
Convened by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto, I joined fellow Principal Secretaries at the State House, Nairobi, for a high-level session to prepare for the nationwide launch of the NYOTA business support programme.
Starting Monday, October 6, we will have a nationwide awareness program, engaging with Governors, MPs, MCAs, chiefs and the wider NGAOs framework in sensitising leaders and young people on this transformative initiative and aligning its rollout at the grassroots.
Through a Government–World Bank partnership, the programme will provide grants of KSh50,000 to 70 young people in each of the 1,450 wards, amounting to KSh5 billion and directly empowering 100,000 youth to start and grow enterprises.

A Major Leap for Kenyan and Regional Trade!
Kenya officially launched the COMESA Electronic Certificate of Origin (e-CO) in Nairobi today with @COMESA_HQ

Uganda is famous for Coffee and Gorillas. 🦍
Coffee is not just a beloved beverage, it is a vital part of both livelihoods and conservation in Bwindi.
Through Gorilla Conservation Coffee, we provide alternative livelihoods to local communities. Instead of relying on poaching for wild meat, farmers can earn a fair income from coffee, which we buy above the market price. This enables them to afford food and improve their wellbeing while protecting endangered wildlife.
At CTPH, we believe you cannot conserve gorillas or the environment without caring for the people who live alongside them. Gorilla Conservation Coffee is one way we put this belief into action.
Happy International Coffee Day!☕️
