We introduced changes to blood donation rules on June 1⃣4⃣.
This new way of asking questions will allow a fairer opportunity for donors and enable more people to donate whilst maintaining our world-class blood supply safety standards.

Wow. I never thought I’d be able to donate blood again as a gay man. I used to donate and was on my 12th pint when I donated before. Rules stopped that when I ‘came out’. Here I am after campaigning for a change in the rules on my 13th pint. Very proud. ❤️💉🩸
Today is the day! Thousands upon thousands more people will be able to donate blood due to changes made in donation rules.
Please #DonateWithPride today and always, and remember, these rules still do not go far enough. There is still work to do.
