He believes Orange Line light rail conversion (slated for 2051-2057) will go all the way to Pasadena. Measure M allows this after 2067.
@mattryanharris The line is being considered as light rail and possibly connecting the existing Orange Line (also being converted to light rail) and the East-West portion of the A Line. Is that what you’re referring to?
“We had the ‘big red’ that would go out to Pasadena, big red to San Pedro, big red to Long Beach,” remembers famed saxophonist Big Jay McNeely (1927-2018). “They ran so fast, it didn’t take you any time to get there.”

We need a “vision” that means looking into future, beyond the car-dependent present of today.
If you live, work, etc in Burbank consider supporting the bus lanes for more sustainable and equitable transit service!
“Vision Burbank” is organizing to oppose bus lanes on Olive Ave for LA Metro’s North Hollywood to Pasadena BRT. They plan to ask city council for no bus lanes on Olive at 2/27/24 council meeting, when council votes to approve project management consultant contract.
January 2024 LA Metro update on future construction. G Line improvements construction starts in 2024. Major construction of ESFV, NoHo-Pasadena BRT starts 2025. RFP for initial Southeast Gateway work soon. RFP for initial Torrance extension work in 2025.

Watching an elder relying w/ cane rush across Colorado blvd. In Eagle Rock btwn far-apart intersections & crosswalks while cars refuse to slow down until they’re right on top of her breaks my 💔. Those BRT ped improvements can’t come soon enough. @metrolosangeles@LADOTofficial
