We currently do not have an FAA Administrator, because the previous one was forced out by the billionaire who got Trump elected and was given unchecked authority in return. He was forced out because he tried to fine the billionaire's space company for operating unsafely.
If this helps anyone, you can sign up for the Canadian food recall alerts. We get a lot of our food from the U.S. and test it regularly.
It won’t catch everything, but it’s better than nothing.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, a long-time proponent of inspectors general, said there was no notice provided to Congress for President Trump’s reported firings of at least a dozen government watchdogs — notice that is required by law.
“There may be good reason the IGs were fired,” Grassley said Saturday. “We need to know that if so. I’d like further explanation from President Trump. Regardless, the 30 day detailed notice of removal that the law demands was not provided to Congress.”
In January 2025, the U.S. Air Force removed a video about the Tuskegee Airmen from its basic training curriculum at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. This decision followed an executive order signed by President Donald Trump that banned diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the federal government. The Tuskegee Airmen were pioneering Black pilots renowned for their service during World War II. Their inclusion in the training curriculum was intended to highlight the Air Force's historical diversity and the significant contributions of African American service members.
Charles McGee died in 2022 at the age of 102.
He had been the last living member of the Tuskegee Airmen.
Charles McGee was a career officer in the Air Force for 30+ years.
He flew 409 missions, one of the highest combat totals and longest active-duty careers by any Air Force fighter pilot. The Air Force has stopped teaching about the Tuskegee Airmen, despite their distinguished military careers, contributions, and sacrifices.
This is disrespectful to the memory of the Tuskegee Airmen, their family, and future Air Force pilots.
Hey, it’s what President Felonious wanted. The whitewashing of Black History.
Blacks for Trump, you voted for this racist.
Nelly, you asked how is he a White Supremacist.
What does he have to do next to make idiots believe he’s racist? Have a noose outside the White House.
Public lynchings?

@raccoonrocket_@jemelehill Live CC is notoriously bad, doesn't keep up so it leaves out something like a quarter of the info, many Deaf people cannot read well enough to keep up, and CC doesn't convey emotions and other context clues.
@Mike_D70@jemelehill Many Deaf people cannot read written English, especially older folks. Live captioning is notoriously awful and in serious situations you want accurate info. Also what about people in the room?
@influenya@JessPected I know one whose wife was having horrible issues no dr could help so he went to medical school to find answers to help her. But most? Yeah cringe.
@artwithinpod I remember hearing people moaning about that in movies like Happy Feet. Not sure why audiences now take issue when things like Fern Gully were so beloved not that long ago.
