@MadbaronChudson @forummapping same for protestantism in sweden. it's the norm for people to be registered with the church here but few are actually religious. i think something like 15% of registered members of the church of sweden actually believe in christ.

it's all regional as well, some scandis will never have heard of it, and for me it was common.

@Jeremy_socal @theguy64355 @joakial_ for me this faded away with age, in my teens i didn't really experience this. dinner with other families tended to be awkward regardless. i really don't see what the issue is, people from other cultures get so upset about it lol.

@bres_santos loreen is and always has been a very "spiritual" person however you wanna word it. when asked if she'd do melfest/esc again she just said "if it feels right for me at that moment". i dont think this is about trying to boost her career or getting money or anything like that.

@Daura_XIV i dont particularly care about burning that specific bridge because it was clear it wasn't going to work. and that's kind of the point. you should be able to see when something isn't working out.

@Daura_XIV that we didn't put enough "energy" into the friendship. it's just a weird mindset to have. at least be self-aware about it and notice when someone doesn't have the same values as you do in regards to how a relationship works.

i'll make friends in games not because i want to be with these specific individuals but because i get more people to play with.

@bobbiesees @iiiiwanttolive the point is if you have to make some effort to enter a scenario where things happen naturally then that wouldn't be natural to begin with. like playing a game to get closer with someone - that isn't you playing the game because you like the game, the motive is "make friend".
