Excited to announce that JSeyff and I have a new book coming out this fall called "Both Sides of the Coin" which is available for pre-order now. We thought it was time for a fresh look at bitcoin/crypto post-ETF and sought to write a fair and balanced book for everyday TradFiShow
The Altruists was produced by Michelle and Barak Obama
SBF publicly donated $39.8 million to Democratic candidates and aligned outside groups during the 2021–2022 election cycle
The framing of the movie as some love story and to make SBF look more innocent is even more calculated than I initially realized. Always follow the money
My favorite Ditka story. When I was in my twenties, my buddies and I would sometimes get a drink and an onion ring tower at Ditka's on Chestnut in the Gold Coast.
One night the coach was there, walked up to us, asked how we were doing, without waiting for an answer took one of the onion rings and walked off.
Go Bears.
Here's a look at the Mag 7 acquisitions. Also some of these 846 cos are MONSTERS eg if Google spun out YouTube it would be a Top 20 S&P 500 stock. These are small countries, each could be its own index tbh. You have to see through the one name.
The Stock Market Is Currently Out of Breadth But It's No Reason to Worry.. but what they aren't telling you: 1) over past 100 years only 4% of stocks generated all net US market-wealth creation. 2) The big cos doing all the heavy lifting are not normal big cos,
they are like small countries- each of them having acquired hundreds of companies. Microsoft and Google have each acquired 270(!) companies. So you have prob should think about the Mag 7 as the Mag 700. There are hundreds of companies leading the 'breadthless' S&P 500 right now.
Getting deja vu for when The 'Dumb Money' movie came out shortly after I published The Bogle Effect & i remember thinking how crazy the contrast was. Here's a guy & company that truly changed an industry in all facets, made investors lives better but Roaring Kitty gets the movie.
All in. Every time. Julia Garner and Anthony Boyle star as Caroline Ellison and Sam Bankman-Fried in this limited series about the love scorned prodigies behind the FTX scandal.
The Altruists premieres November 19.
Remember in Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure when James Brolin and Morgan Fairchild played Pee-Wee and Dottie in the movie within the movie. This feels like that. Very niche reference but it’s perfect.

Corgi wants to be the Wal-Mart of ETFs. We just sat down w/ JeffWeniger (who just joined Corgi from WisdomTree) for a Trillions intv about their flood the zone strategy, future plans (incl taking on Big Three in core), the co’s tech culture, the cafes and of course the dogs 🐕
Everything about this movie feels wrong and way late and just off. You can sense big flop coming. Aside, CLIFFORD is a gem of a movie if you like demented comedies. Martin Short plays a sadistic 10yr old who keeps riling up Charles Grodin till he loses his mind. It's so good.
Sorkin’s THE SOCIAL RECKONING is one of the most insipid, ugly, flat films of the year — an insufferably sanctimonious fantasia of blue-state Boomers that traps Jeremy Strong in a man-child performance that unintentionally echoes Martin Short in CLIFFORD. https://t.co/ZNR669UVfP
Wrote about CLO ETFs today and why their immunity to rising rates (which is wreaking havoc on 85% of bond ETFs) is likely going to increase their juggernaut growth. Here's $JAAA vs 10yr yield vs $AGG. Full note incl tale of the tape of the CLO ETFs on BI ETF<GO>
The Brazil ETF's flow-a-thon continues, now up to about $2b (by far it's biggest week ever in 25yrs, $1.2b was prev record) since the election results defied polls and favored center/right govt. It's 4th overall in weekly flows too only $VOO & Co pulled in more. $EWZ
"The Departed" is a pretty silly movie. Jack Nicholson gets worried about a cop in his crew. His crew is like 5 guys where 4 of them don't really speak English and one of them is brand new and just dropped out of the state police academy
NEW: The 3x ETFs were just filed after SEC recently approved the rule change request under 19b4. Will have 3x daily levered products on Gold $GDLU, Silver $SLVK, Bitcoin $BITH, Ethereum $ETHK, Crude Oil $OILY and Nat Gas $NATX
