When Tommy Burns was coming towards the end of his life, Scott Brown’s family were going through their own heartbreak.
Tommy was battling skin cancer.
Brown’s sister Fiona was also dying of cancer.
She was only 23.
At Celtic, everyone knew how ill Tommy was.
Gordon Strachan went to see him at 4pm one day, and by 3am the next morning, Tommy had sadly passed away.
A few hours later, the Celtic players were brought together.
Strachan spoke to them.
Then Scott Brown came over to him.
“Can I speak to you?”
Strachan knew what Brown’s family were going through, so he asked him what was wrong.
Brown asked him when Tommy had died.
“About three in the morning.”
“Why?”
That was when Brown told him what had happened.
“Well, my sister got flowers at 10 this morning.”
They had arrived after Tommy had died.
And the note was from him.
“Good luck, keep your chin up.”
From Tommy Burns.
Tommy was hours from the end of his own life, and he was still thinking about Scott Brown’s sister.
Still sending flowers.
Still trying to lift someone else.
That was why Celtic people loved him the way they did.
Not just because he played for the club.
Not just because he managed it.
Because even at the very end, he was still Tommy Burns.

This is what Ben Gvir excitedly posts online for the whole world to see to international activists trying to help Palestinians, imagine the brutally sick things they do to Palestinians that the world ignores.
Israel is a terrorist state.
A glorious day for not only the legendary Martin O’Neill. Not only the glorious Glasgow Celtic. Not only Hibernian Football Club. But for the capital city of Scotland, the greatest city in the world - Glasgow.
'Horrrendous decision' screams Ally McCoist rising from a drunken stupor. I'll tell you what a 'horrendous decision' really is Alistair...drink driving and mowing down an innocent member of the public. Look a wee bit closer to home ya sleekit hun bastard.
Walked past her Majesty's picture on my way out to the garden. Could have sworn I saw tear, probably a reflection of my own. We have failed you ma'dam. Broken. Defeated
Omg Bernard Ponsonby, invited by the club to a foundation event delivered a complete evisceration of the Celtic board.
It almost brought tears to my eyes, if we ever do get a competent board Bernard has just shot to my top choice as chairman.

🚨🇬🇧 Meanwhile in London
In the wake of Arson attacks against dedicated Jewish ambulances, Londoners are now realising that the Jewish community also have their own private police force - and are asking questions as to how this is even allowed⁉️
The behaviour of Celtic fans is not surprising. That is them, and their club. They are the shame of football.
Once again today they have lived up to their reputation.
Rangers fans & the club conducted themselves impeccably, which also lived up to our reputation.
"Spain said we can't use their bases. We could use their bases if we want. We could just fly in and use it. Nobody is gonna tell us not to use it."
Spoken like a true rapist.
