As someone who writes for a living, at both of my jobs, one of the most wicked or nefarious behaviors from Marxists and Communists is the way they conscript and distort language, intentionally. It makes me want to spit fire when I see it happening, and when I see useful idiots going along with it.

Language and words are sacred, which is, of course, why Communists want to twist them to their own wicked ends.

Nothing I am about to say below is particularly new or groundbreaking. Thomas Sowell said it long ago and far better than I can when he described "verbal cleansing." But this recent escalation in the disfigurement of language has been grinding on the molars of my soul for days.

So, for the record, I think I need to clear up a few things:

1. There is no "fascism" taking place in the United States under the Trump administration. We all know that, if there were, everyone screeching about it would be quiet as church mice.

2. ICE is not "abducting" or "disappearing" anyone. These are known as lawful arrests and detainments. If people are concerned about people being disappeared, they should start with the hundreds of thousands of missing children who were trafficked across the border under the Biden administration.

3. There is no "genocide" happening in Gaza. Israel is winning a war that it did not start. It is doing so with more care for innocent human life than anyone in Gaza has ever felt in their entire existence.

4. For that matter, there is no nation called "Palestine." Everyone knows this.

5. The only "colonization" going on in the world today is being perpetrated by radical Islamists. There has never been a time in the history of Islam when it was not a religion of violent conquest. Never.

6. Noticing what radical Islamists do, have always done, and will always continue to do is not "Islamophobia."

7. No one in America is losing "reproductive rights" because that is a nonsense term. Some states are restricting the murder of innocent children in the womb. That is all that's happening. While other states, like Massachusetts, are legalizing that murder up to the point of birth for any reason. If there has been any "genocide" happening in the modern West, it is the genocide of the powerless, voiceless, and helpless unborn.

8. There is no such thing as "hate speech," or at least not in so far as it can be used to criminalize behavior, as recently happened in Minnesota.

9. For that matter, there is no such thing as "transgender" and certainly not "trans kids." No human being in history has ever changed their sex. While I'm at it, using the word "gender" to describe sex is also a corruption. Some people want to live their lives pretending they are something they are not. Others have severe mental illness. While those people certainly exist (they also are not being "genocided"), their delusion remains just that -- a delusion. If that makes them happy, fine. But no one else should ever be asked, let alone coerced, to "affirm" it.

10. The left loves to say that words are violence. No, they are not. I've never heard a more ridiculous idea in my life, and I would venture to say that would be true if my life spanned 2,000 years. But what Communists do in mutilating those words IS violence, absolutely. And they know it.

I relish words. I have for my entire life. Reading, writing, savoring the masters throughout history who have used them to communicate brilliance. It is why I love Tolkien so much. Believe me, it's not because of the battles (though they're a lot of fun, too).

And what the left knowingly, maliciously does to language is no less of an evil than how the Orcs were created (depending on which origin story you subscribe to, of course).

I don't need to get into why they do it. We all know the answer to that. It is the act itself that is an abomination to me. I hope it is for every other thinking person as well.
