There it is directly from the man who investigated the investigators for three years. Took too long for him to say it this clearly, but hopefully now people will stop accusing Patrick of killing his children.
🇺🇸 The Boatlift That Was Bigger Than Dunkirk
At 10:45 a.m. on September 11, 2001, a Coast Guard lieutenant named Mike Day keyed a radio in New York Harbor and said the only sentence that mattered.
“All available boats. This is the United States Coast Guard. Anyone wanting to help with the evacuation of Lower Manhattan, report to Governors Island.”
The boats were already coming.
The bridges were closed. The tunnels were closed. The subways were dead. South of the towers, hundreds of thousands of people had nowhere left to walk. Some jumped into the Hudson. Some stood on seawalls that were never meant to be docks and waited for anything that floated.
Dunkirk took nine days to pull 338,226 Allied soldiers off a beach in 1940.
On 9/11, roughly 800 mariners on about 150 vessels moved as many as 500,000 civilians off Manhattan in about nine hours. Ferries. Tugs. Dinner boats. Pilot boats. Yachts. A retired fireboat. Rubber dinghies that held two people. The largest water evacuation in history.
NY Waterway did not wait for the official call. After the second plane hit, the whole fleet moved. Captain Rick Thornton nosed his ferry against a seawall that was not a slip and started taking people off. Some of them he pulled out of the river. His company alone carried about 158,000 people to Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, Brooklyn, and Queens.
On a normal Tuesday they carried 34,000.
The Staten Island Ferry moved more than 50,000 people and came back the other way with water, bandages, and men who still had work to do in the dust.
The old fireboat John J. Harvey, already retired, tied up near the Museum of Jewish Heritage, took civilians off the seawall, then pumped water when the hydrants downtown died.
Lt. Day later admitted what the day required. “I broke more rules that day than probably I’ve enforced in my whole Coast Guard career.”
In raw numbers it was bigger than Dunkirk. No boat went down. By nightfall the southern tip of Manhattan had been emptied by people who were not on anyone’s list of heroes when the morning started.
They were tug captains. Ferry deckhands. Pilots. A lieutenant with a microphone. Ordinary boats answering one sentence.
All available boats.
That holdout juror got the most power he’s probably ever had in his entire life and apparently decided to savor every last drop. One bro-dude. ONE. And now a mistrial. God knows how much taxpayer money gone. Congrats on your main-character moment, juror-man.
And now the DA says they want “justice” for the children.
So wait, hold up … Justice for Cora, Dawson and Callan is … doing this AGAIN?!? So let’s put the Clancy family through another trial?! So let’s give the TikTok School of Forensic Psychology another semester to explain how Patrick’s responsible for his own children’s deaths?!
Fuck that.
Meanwhile, the Puritan Prosecutors of Plymouth are apparently wounded that people made fun of them. You can’t make this up.
Ladies, you prosecuted one of the most scrutinized cases in Massachusetts (sorry, Karen Read) dressed like you were about to churn butter and report a neighbor for witchcraft. Buckingham—nobody else was wearing a bow but you, and you could have made a choice at any moment to wear a scrunchie instead. Don’t blame the internet for your fashion choices.
But then … the moment that blew my brain up … DA Timmy Cruz LITERALLY looks down at his CHEAT SHEET to remember the names of Cora, Dawson and Callan while lecturing us about getting “justice” for them … YOU CANT MAKE THIS UP!!
Congrats to the juror on completing his civic duty and his apparent Make-A-Wish to control the entire justice system and make everyone suffer over an unnecessary and unfortunate sequel that everyone else will get to pay for.
Bruhs are gonna bruh. I hope you sleep well tonight, Mr. Holdout juror, and may you dream of hair bows and DA Cruz, because he made it clear—he is soooo proud of you. #lindsayclancytrial #lindsayclancy #timcruz

At the very beginning of the trial, I posted that if any good could come out of this case it would finally expose the truth about the Massachusetts mental health system.
Something has to change and therefore I have drafted legislation: "An Act relative to parental or primary caregiver mental health evaluations, child safety planning, and family preservation services" requiring psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners and all mental health counselors to evaluate and document the need for child safety planning when patients reveal suicidal ideation, thoughts or attempt.
I'll be meeting with Massachusetts legislators to get this bill filed and passed.
Let's see if lawmakers care enough for children to protect them.
THIS IS SO COOL! Now that you and I are kind of co-workers, had a question. Being that there are 8 "Mission Impossible" movies, can you finally admit that the first seven missions were actually possible?

Your choice, Albertans: You can believe Premier Danielle Smith or the Data "In 1992, Alberta had approximately 11,700 hospital beds. Today, with nearly double the population and a much older demographic, we have roughly 8,800. This is not an Ottawa or immigration problem."
Some people seem to have forgotten how bad a president Trump was, so I made a list of the 100 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency, in no particular order. Please share and add anything I missed. 🧵

I will never understand why men cannot let women walk away. I’m not sure what was happening in this marriage behind closed doors, but I am willing to bet that Suzanne Simpson wanted out. 😢
She was out there screaming for help and the neighbors did nothing. So tired of this. 💔💔💔 Now she has vanished. #domesticviolence #bradsimpson
