@CaitlinLong_ By pushing this onto telcos, you'll either raise their cost of doing business (because they have to add hoops for all cases) or you'll have simswaps.
@zndtoshi@arancaytar @ShaunGalNews They will now need to scale back production and hope demand returns, find a new use for their product, or as you said, go out of business.
@zndtoshi@arancaytar @ShaunGalNews Donation isn't without cost - it needs to be processed, packaged, distributed. There's also the Law Of Diminishing Marginal Utility. Who would want it? Maybe someone. I have no use for tens of thousands of gallons of milk.
@zndtoshi@arancaytar @ShaunGalNews Ok. There is no price fixing going on. Their product has limited shelf life. They are at peak production season coupled with drop in demand. It sucks for them, but managing oversupply (now waste) is just part of the process.
@zndtoshi@arancaytar @ShaunGalNews Is it not possible that producers may find the price too low to justify the cost of processing? Is it not possible for the price to be zero?
