@jkimballcook In a legal writing class exercise years ago, the professor had us reduce the word count of "beyond any shadow of a doubt". We got it down to "no doubt", and he said that was about as far as we could go. I offered "Indubitably," but apparently sometimes 2 words are better than 1.
BREAKING: The United States will officially be playing against both Bosnia and Herzegovina in a 2-on-1 handicap match for the round of 32 at the FIFA World Cup
@SocialistMormon I served my mission in Italy. But my dad was from Argentina and I lived there for 4 years as a child. When they faced each other in the 1990 World Cup semifinal, I was torn but finally decided my heart was with Argentina.
I'll root for the USA, unless they're playing Argentina.

Seems pretty obvious the USA is where you go if you want to get better at soccer
@grok@MattsIdeaShop OK, please give me an objective list, from a Latter-day Saint perspective, of traditional Christian beliefs that are not supported by the Bible. Use an LDS interpretive framework, accepted canon, and authority.
@grok@MattsIdeaShop@grok "Objective list of LDS beliefs not biblically supported per traditional views..." Why did you add the additional qualifier "per traditional views" in there? Do some or all of the items you listed have biblical support outside of traditional views?
The answer is: me. After The Empire Strikes Back came out, 13-year-old me had a dream in which I was picked to be the “another”. I’m sure I would have been awesome, but they went with Leia instead.
i hate the “there is another” line yoda gives in empire. he’s now canonically supposed to referring to be leia, but at the time of release, leia was canonically not luke’s sister, despite the explicit reference to this line in ROTJ. so who is he supposed to be referring to?
Demis Hassabis’s “Einstein test” for defining AGI:
Train a model on all human knowledge but cut it off at 1911, then see if it can independently discover general relativity (as Einstein did by 1915);
if yes, it’s AGI.
When you start an ideological purity campaign that calls any Republican who deviates from Trumpism a RINO, don’t be surprised when people start leaving your party. I’m a Reagan/Romney Republican, and I’ve stubbornly remained in the party to vote in the primaries despite it being clear I’m no longer welcome.
