🔥 Morton Salt Flees Illinois After 176 Years – Cites JB Pritzker’s Crushing Taxes and Failing Blue-State Policies
Morton Salt, the iconic American company founded in 1848, has officially moved its corporate headquarters from downtown Chicago to Overland Park, Kansas.
Critics and business advocates have pointed to the state’s high corporate tax rates, rising property taxes in Cook County, and plaintiff-friendly litigation environment as factors contributing to the decision.
Since the move, Morton Salt has deepened its commitment to the Kansas City area. The brand is now the official salt of the Kansas City Chiefs and has secured naming rights for a new Live Nation entertainment amphitheater in Riverside, Missouri.
THE PENNSYLVANIA BOOTH AT THE GREAT AMERICAN STATE FAIR IS ON!!!!
"Pennsylvania is where America’s story began & there was no way we were going to let the Commonwealth go unrepresented during our Nation’s 250th birthday celebration" @SenMcCormickPA
“Celebrating America’s 250th birthday and Pennsylvania’s special role in our country is important and bipartisan. We discovered our Commonwealth wasn’t participating in the Great American State Fair on the National Mall and we should be,” @SenFettermanPA
McCormick, Fetterman along with PA Manufacturers and PennAg are making sure the Pennsylvania booth at the great American State Fair will represent!

What the West Still Doesn’t Get It:
Communism’s True Core: The Systemic Lie
Most people in the West think they understand communism. They picture bread lines, gulags, failed five-year plans, and the collapsed Soviet Union. They treat it as a discredited economic theory – an experiment that proved that abolishing private property doesn’t work. Case closed, history moved on.
This misunderstanding may be the most dangerous intellectual failure of our time.
Communism was never primarily an economic system. Economics was the surface. Beneath it lay something far more insidious: a total, systemic, institutionalized commitment to lying. Not occasional dishonesty. Not spin or propaganda in the ordinary sense. Something deeper – a civilizational war against truth itself, waged through every institution, every classroom, every newspaper, every conversation, until reality itself became negotiable and the lie became the air people breathed.
The Words We’re Missing
The Polish language, forged by decades of living under this system, produced words for this phenomenon that English simply cannot match:
Zakłamanie [zah-kwah-MAH-nyeh] – a state of total, pervasive, socially embedded falsehood, a condition in which an entire society is saturated with lies so thoroughly that truth becomes almost inaccessible.
Obłuda [ob-woo-dah] – a deep, performative hypocrisy, the gap between what is proclaimed and what is actually practiced, the mask worn so long it begins to feel like a face.
These are not words for individual liars. They describe a system – a mode of social organization built on organized mendacity, where the lie is not the exception but the foundation. English has no single word for either concept, and that linguistic gap is not a coincidence. It reflects a gap in experience. Cultures that did not live under communism lack the vocabulary because they lack the wound.
And because they lack the vocabulary, they struggle to recognize the thing when it reappears in new clothing.
The Continuity: Communism, Leftism, Wokeism
What we call wokeism today, or the broader radical left, is not a new phenomenon. It is the same operating system running on updated hardware. The specifics have changed – instead of the proletariat, we have marginalized identity groups; instead of bourgeois class enemies, we have racists and transphobes; instead of socialist realism, we have DEI statements. But the deep structure is the same.
That deep structure is this: truth is not discovered, it is assigned. Reality is not something to be understood honestly but something to be narrated strategically. Language is not a tool for communication but a weapon of power. And anyone who resists the approved narrative is not simply wrong – they are dangerous, and must be silenced, shamed, or destroyed.
This is zakłamanie in its modern form. This is obłuda wearing a human rights badge.
The same movement that insists men can become women will insist, with equal fervor, that questioning this is an act of violence. The same institutions that claim to champion free inquiry systematically suppress dissent. The same people who invoke tolerance as their highest value are among the most intolerant forces in public life. The contradiction is not accidental – it is structural. It is the system working as designed.
Why the West Still Doesn’t Get It
People who grew up in freedom tend to assume, at some level, that bad actors know they are lying. That somewhere behind the ideological performance, there is a cynical operator who privately acknowledges reality. This assumption is wrong, and it is why Westerners consistently underestimate what they are dealing with.
The totalitarian lie, at its mature stage, is not cynical. It is believed. Or rather, it creates a condition in which the distinction between belief and performance collapses entirely. People learn to say things they do not believe so fluently, and for so long, that they lose access to what they actually think.

Now that I’m out of government, I can finally respond for myself: Get bent, soyboy. We didn’t do this for “Silicon Valley . . . companies.” We did this for you, for your family, your community, your state, your nation, and your species.
Nuclear energy provides the safest, highest density, reliable power available on our planet. My career colleagues at DOE and NRC inspired me to think about nuclear as a way to forge American steel and electrolyze aluminum without releasing particulate matter, to desalinate water in the Middle East and save humanity from resource wars. By rejecting the false narratives and Cold War hysteria, we can secure the next American century while raising whole countries out of poverty.
Do you really think I left an incredible career at Kirkland, paid out of pocket for an apartment in DC and dozens of cross-country trips, and left my family on the west coast because I wanted to enrich people I never met before taking this job? I came to D.C. to do something that mattered, to satisfy a driving curiosity (more on that later), and, most importantly, to serve.
As I learned more about nuclear energy and its history, I developed a conviction that one nuclear’s biggest issues was a culture of cynicism: nothing new or exciting could happen because it would end in disappointment, and that militated against rocking the boat even a tiny bit. The career staff in government and their industry counterparts lived through dark winters before and stopped believing that warm springs could bloom into summers.
I have two core philosophies. First, I believe in ruthless optimism. Rational decision making requires detached risk analysis. But we also cannot win if we believe we can lose. Merging the two requires orienting teams around driving missions. That way, when a real opportunity presents itself, you can take a huge swing.
If I take credit for anything—honestly, almost all of the success belongs to the incredible and dedicated people at @ENERGY and @NRCgov—it’s countering the cultural rot and morass that risked forfeiting American excellence. My colleagues and I gave cover to the scientists and engineers, which freed them up to focus on delivering safe power. And, as success materialized, they started to dream again. That’s why the pilot program succeeded, and why I feel confident about the future of NLICs and NRC reform. Nobody needs me anymore because they can innovate on their own.
My second core philosophy is to assume positive intent. Avi, I know that you heard about my real motivations from multiple people you interviewed when preparing your hit piece on me. Rather than telling that story, one which could help inspire another generation of people to use their talents for the greater good, you ignored them. Instead, you implied that Peter Thiel recruited me for nefarious purposes. (I’ve never met him, but, @peterthiel, if you’re reading this, I’m a huge fan!)
Nuclear regulation starts and ends with safety. I promised everyone I worked with that I would resign before doing or pushing for anything that could compromise public safety. But I also distinguished between real safety and performative bullshit. That’s what the careers came to embrace, too. We love nuclear, why would we do anything that could risk threatening its future?
America faces a crossroads. We can either trod a road of cultural decay or hike our way back to the peak of global innovation. Join me on the latter path. Correct the fear mongering and conspiracies and tell the story of America’s great reindustrialization. Tell the story of our public servants, our great entrepreneurs, our scientific dominance. Tell the real story about how DOGE went nuclear.
Mail-in ballots favor Democrats.
OK, fine.
Spencer Pratt was never going to lead in mail-in ballots.
But what is the justification for mail-in ballots received BEFORE the election vastly favoring Karen Bass, and the ones received AFTER the election favoring Nithya Raman?
HUGE: LA MAYOR VOTE SHOCK! - Last night's LA mayor ballot dump delivered a statistical head scratcher as distant third place Nithya Raman racked up far and away the most votes in the batch dramatically closing the gap on Spencer Pratt.
Raman was polling well behind early on yet these late drops keep fueling her surge in ways that defy normal expectations. Democrats seem to specialize in these kinds of improbable vote patterns.
Remember Joe Biden lost Ohio Iowa and Florida plus eighteen out of nineteen bellwether counties yet somehow captured the most votes ever in history.
These statistical impossibilities keep piling up in Democrat run counting processes.
What do you think of these wild LA mayor ballot dump surprises? ⬇️
JENSEN HUANG SOLD A $249 AI COMPUTER ON STAGE THAT KILLS YOUR $200/MONTH OPENAI BILL. THE VIDEO HAS 217,000 LIKES
the box is called the jetson orin nano super. 70 trillion ai operations per second, 25 watts, smaller than a wallet. it runs llama 3, mistral, gemma and deepseek locally with no api fees and no data leaving your house
a developer running automations and coding assistants pays $200 a month to openai. the same workload on this box costs $2 a month in electricity and breaks even on the hardware in 10 weeks
you install ollama with one command. change one line in your code. point it at localhost instead of openai. everything else works identically
7 billion parameter models handle 80% of what people use chatgpt for. summarization, drafting, coding, document q&a, automation pipelines. the hard 20% you keep claude or gpt for. total monthly cost drops from $200 to $22
cloud subscriptions keep getting more expensive and rate limits keep getting tighter. the people who set this up in 2025 are going to look very smart in 2027

🚨THE FBI CREATED A FAKE CRYPTOCURRENCY.. LISTED IT ON UNISWAP.. HIRED MARKET MAKERS TO PUMP IT.. THEN ARRESTED EVERYONE WHO SAID YES..
THIS IS THE CRAZIEST LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION IN CRYPTO HISTORY!!!
The FBI built an actual ERC-20 token on Ethereum called NexFundAI.. 100 billion token supply.. A professional website.. Whitepapers promising "passive income through AI-powered investing"..
It looked exactly like every other crypto project.. Because that was the point..
Undercover agents posed as the founding team.. Then reached out to professional market-making firms and said "we need you to fake our trading volume"..
Every single firm said yes..
Here's what they recorded..
Gotbit.. A firm run by a 26-year-old Russian who publicly bragged in 2019 that he built a business faking trade volumes.. His team kept internal spreadsheets with columns literally labeled "fake volume" vs "market volume"..
When asked how fast they could pump NexFundAI's volume to $1 million per day.. They said "6 hours.. It will cost about $200"..
$200 to fake $1 million in daily trading volume..
MyTrade.. Run by a guy who called himself "the mastermind".. He explained the exact psychology of the scam on camera..
"We make the chart look like a really nice roller coaster ride.. That's where people jump in.. We have to make them lose money in order to make profit"..
He said that on a recorded FBI video call..
CLS Global.. A Dubai-based firm.. Their bots generated 98% of NexFundAI's total trading volume.. When the FBI asked if they could sync fake volume spikes with fake news announcements.. They said absolutely..
ZM Quant.. Bots executing 10 to 20 trades per minute through dozens of wallets to look organic..
All of them knew it was fraud.. All of them did it anyway.. All of it was recorded..
And the clients were even worse..
Saitama.. A meme coin that hit $7.5 billion market cap.. The founders coordinated buys through private Telegram chats.. Sent "pump it" memes while manipulating the price.. Then dumped on retail investors..
$7.5 billion.. Built entirely on fake volume.. Every penny of real money came from retail investors who thought the momentum was organic..
One founder left Saitama and started Robo Inu.. Used Gotbit again.. Another launched VZZN.. Same playbook..
Lillian Finance.. Founder claimed to be a defense contractor who addressed Congress.. Marketed the token as funding children's hospitals.. Pocketed everything..
When the FBI shut it down.. They seized $25 million in one day.. 18 people indicted across the US, UK, and Portugal.. The CEO of Gotbit was arrested in Portugal and extradited.. Sentenced to 8 months plus $23 million forfeiture..
But here's the part that broke my brain..
Real people bought NexFundAI..
The FBI's fake token.. With zero utility.. Zero real developers.. Created solely to catch criminals.. Attracted real retail investors because the fake volume made the chart look bullish..
When the FBI pulled the liquidity to end the operation.. Those people lost real money.. On a government-issued token..
The FBI had to set up a restitution portal to pay them back..
And it gets worse..
Within 24 hours of the DOJ announcing the sting.. Someone cloned the FBI's exact smart contract.. Launched a copycat token.. Rode the viral momentum.. And made $127,000 in a single day..
Using the exact same manipulation tactics the FBI just arrested 18 people for..
Then in 2026.. The FBI did it again.. New token called Lexobit.. 10 more arrests.. Including operators extradited from Singapore..
IRS forensics showed that in one firm's trading.. 1,209 out of 1,221 consecutive transactions went straight back to wallets the firm controlled.. 99% circular..
The FBI proved what everyone in crypto suspected..
The volume is fake.. The charts are painted.. The momentum is manufactured..
And every time you buy a token because "the chart looks bullish".. You might be the exit liquidity.
For decades, the secret audio recording of top Cuban officials was shared among U.S. intelligence officials and lawmakers – but never acted upon.
Until now.
The 11-minute audio recording, purportedly of Cuban leader Raúl Castro describing how he directed Cuban MiG fighter pilots to shoot down unarmed planes flown by U.S. citizens near Cuban air space, is now at the center of an explosive movement to indict Castro. https://t.co/pCDZmwkcuV
🚨 This afternoon, a former managing assistant U.S. Attorney who supported Jack Smith’s politicized investigation of President Trump has been charged with stealing the confidential investigation documents.
Carmen Lineberger allegedly emailed the confidential material to her own personal email, disguising them as dessert recipes to conceal them from record searches.
Lineberger is charged with four felony counts in the indictment.
This FBI will not hesitate to bring to account those who violated the trust of the American public in an investigation that should’ve never been brought to begin with.
Obama: 68 million votes, outstanding campaigner, energized the base.
Biden: 81 million votes, campaigned from his basement, energized nobody.
I keep going back to this and can’t comprehend how the latter got 13 million more votes. No conspiracy. Just math.
- RCP8.5 is indeed dead and that's a good thing for climate science.
- Technological improvements, and to some extent climate policies, have made RCP8.5 even less plausible, but it was always implausible, for reasons we knew (thanks to @jritch) for a decade and have been widely known since 2020.
- Climate impact research continued to heavily rely on RCP8.5 for years after we knew better, and there are still too many papers making it into top journals with headline findings based on RCP8.5/SSP5-8.5 (or, worse, SSP3-8.5). Reviewers and editors are not pushing back hard enough.
- Many journalists and policymakers have stuck their heads in the sand about RCP8.5 and continue to do so. But there have also been some notable exceptions. E.g., @dwallacewells was one of the first to cover the changing scenario understanding, something I've always admired him for.
- The scientific community *is* gradually correcting course, as evidenced by RCP8.5 being discontinued for AR7, and by all the papers and other materials that led them to that decision.
- Climate change is real and IPCC's Working Group I reports (The Physical Science Basis) are solid. Their conclusions have high overlap with the DOE CWG report, as @RogerPielkeJr has noted.
- Large majorities of Americans want the President and Congress to do more to address global warming, according to consistent polling for the past two election cycles at least.
- There are some bastions of alarmism/bias within climate change academia, but they are largely *not* in the federal civil service. In my experience, most federal climate scientists are hard-working, rigorous (mostly physical) scientists who take their Hatch Act responsibilities for non-partisanship seriously. Gutting NOAA and other federal science is bad for the country (as @RyanWeather and others have argued) and won't save us from alarmism.
- A great way to get to the bottom of how deep the RCP8.5 effect on climate impact science goes and create a more balanced picture would be to convene a new National Climate Assessment, with a broad and viewpoint-diverse author team.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
