@richroll Sometimes, just enjoy the damn ice cream. This is a reframing that helped me. Before I thought, "Ice Cream, Fast Food, Netflix, whatever is bad for me - I must be bad for wanting it" That's silly. Ice Cream is delicious! Now, I mindfully revel in every bite - consuming way less.

Delayed-onset muscle soreness, the discomfort that starts the day after a particularly grueling workout, is caused by micro-tears in the muscle that lead to inflammation. Watermelon may be beneficial for reducing the pain. https://t.co/UARalVzwMz
It’s the guns. Honestly, I’m over it. Arming teachers won’t stop it. Police role playing as SEAL Team 6 won’t stop it. “Good guys” with guns won’t stop it. We need to control who has access to guns. Period. Fuck your gun fetish. It’s time to protect my daughters.
@hubermanlab Add some high school dropouts, tradesmen, and baristas to your advisory board, please. All of the health and performance content available is great, but it's presented from a narrow life experience. Academics talking to academics.
@SahilBloom Then add in the availability of information. If I can watch a 5-min YouTube tutorial that shows me how to fix the exact problem myself, I ain't callin' a pro. A lot of that skill is just knowledge that WAS hidden in the mind of an apprentice or teacher.

"When the user closes their eyes, the effects are felt the strongest; a fantasy universe materializes that writers have often struggled to describe." Is this just like the pure awareness that comes with practicing @iRestYogaNidra
Psilocybin, found in "magic" mushrooms, seems to be effective in treating depression. Its use goes back to the ancient Greeks and Aztecs. Pull your attention from the pink elephants dancing around your room for this look at our history with mushrooms.

@Freakonomics@Gallup I think we are at a crossroads though. If the majority of people have foundational knowledge, curiosity, and access to the best instructors - paying money to go to college will be a dumb idea.
@Freakonomics@Gallup I was actually surprised by how few Americans have a college degree. I am never surprised by the arrogance of the college-educated and the contempt they have for the rest of us.
@sbkaufman I'm really enjoying all of the academics putting out great content for the masses. I'm getting Disney vibes though. They take an old, old story, spice it up, add some sparkles, and sell it as new and never before seen!
