Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's jet-setting diplomacy has become one of the defining features of his presidency, drawing both praise and scrutiny as Indonesia pursues radical spending cuts at home.
Is it a strategic investment in Indonesia's future, or an expensive diplomatic gamble whose benefits remain difficult to quantify?

Democratic Party Leadership Race — Week 2 Results
Week 2
Jung Cheong-rae: 44.39%
Kim Min-seok: 48.54%
Regions voting this week included Gangwon, Jeju, Daegu, North Gyeongsang, and Incheon.
Cumulative results after Week 2
Jung Cheong-rae: 44.53%
Kim Min-seok: 46.01%
Jung won in Daegu, while Kim carried the remaining regions, allowing Kim to retake the lead after falling behind in Week 1.
However, the race remains highly unpredictable, as the regions voting in Week 3 — Seoul, Gyeonggi, and the Jeolla region — account for more than 70% of Democratic Party members.
Public opinion polling will also be factored into the final result, which could become another major variable.
Kim, who has emphasized stability under President Lee Jae-myung and a centrist, pragmatic approach, is confident of victory in Honam, traditionally the Democratic Party’s strongest region.
Jung, meanwhile, has campaigned on grassroots democracy and opposition to the party’s centrist-rightward shift, and is confident that he can prevail in Seoul and the broader capital region.
With both camps expecting the decisive final round to favor them, tensions between the two sides continue to rise.
Case continues his streak of strong performances in both primaries and generals.
The margin could narrow from 24 points, but it’ll be an impressive win for the moderate given the national momentum toward progressives and the comparable fundraising.

Crossover Democratic voters kept Susan Collins in office term after term. But even many of those who stuck by her in 2020 have had enough. @lizcgoodwin and I reported from Maine: https://t.co/MXZRUDrBZN
The GOP poll showing Miller down 14 points earlier this week got a lot of attention for the topline, but the generic ballot was also D+3, 48-45. That would already be the 2nd-best result for a Democrat in OH7 over the past decade and essentially on par with 2018 Senate (D+5).
NEWS: Representative Max Miller is formally staying in the race to maintain his seat in Congress, his spokeswoman tells me.
The deadline is now passed for him to withdraw.

Will the Democratic Tea Party reach the Aloha State?
Case has long been a fixture of the party’s moderate wing, and I see this as a tossup. First results should come around 1:30 a.m. ET and may be better for Case than the final tally. I’ll be tracking it late into the morning.
TONIGHT — Primary elections return in Hawaii. The marquee race is the Democratic primary in HI-01, where Blue Dog Rep. Ed Case, who voted for the SAVE Act, faces a competitive challenge from progressive state Sen. Jarrett Keohokalole.
This kopi store near Old Airport hawker opens at 4am and closes at 9am
Not because they’re lazy
Because their kopi sells out
Yes, the coffee they sell actually gets SOLD
Daily
When I finally got the chance to try it, I honestly thought to myself
“Kopi is Kopi what, how different can it get”
And then I took a sip
“What the f*ck”
If there was an artisanal / elevated version of Kopi, this was it
You can actually taste the “fragrance” unlike most Robusta dark roasts
Highly highly recommend
The overwhelming favourite to replace Blatter was the president of Uefa, Michel Platini. He, though, was unacceptable to the US, because it was his decision to switch his vote to Qatar, following – although he maintains not as a result of – a meeting at the Élysée Palace with the then French president Nicolas Sarkozy and the crown prince and prime minister of Qatar.
Conveniently, evidence was found of a payment he had received from Fifa in 2011 leading to his suspension. The Berne federal prosecutor, Michael Lauber, broke protocol to name Platini as something “between a witness and a suspect”. It was enough: Platini stepped aside and Infantino stepped in as Uefa’s candidate. Lauber subsequently became attorney general of Switzerland only to resign after secretly meeting Infantino while investigating Fifa. Platini was subsequently cleared and is suing both Fifa and Infantino.

One of the more fascinating races is OH Gov. Dems have only won the office once (in ‘06) since the ‘90s, but they came close in ‘10 & ‘18.
If Vivek wins this year, his MoV is more likely to be closer to one of these. Thoughts?
Michigan is just 2.2% Arab, but Arab voters proved decisive. Stevens won non-Arab voters, while El-Sayed’s huge margins in Arab communities powered his victory.
He won the most Arab precincts by ~80 points, and those areas turned out above the statewide Democratic primary rate.
Uefa paid off an alleged mistress of Gianni Infantino while he was its general secretary, The Telegraph can disclose.
The woman received a six-figure sum after the alleged relationship with Mr Infantino while he was a top official at European football’s governing body.

The fundamentals still slightly favor Ken Paxton, but after James Talarico led in seven consecutive polls, pushing our polling average to Talarico +2.5, the forecast has seen enough.
Talarico is now very narrowly favored to win.
