@jaykreps Main bottleneck for most orgs is likely team topologies:
Siloed: 1-1.5x
Permissive technical org: 3-4x
Generalist org: 10x
But that generalist 10x is because technical can automate probing customers and responding to insights. I still think few are the latter group.
@sporadica No one spot. Tunnel tops, marina beach, fort mason, and aquatic park. Mix it up for different days. Also find friends with a really nice apartment view : )
@lreyzin@oxfordmarlboro Understandable with worse bounds is likely more valuable (imo even for llms) for now. Probably release that first and optional next step is untangling the openai result and communicating that journey. You're probably the only one who can do that : )
On writing with AI help:
1. Write it yourself.
2. Ask AI for feedback.
3. Select only valid feedback.
4. Ask AI to address selected feedback with minor changes.
This will retain your voice while protecting against AI-speak takeover.
Founders who are raising: I'm working with @ericries on https://t.co/ATubQ0na94. Tell us about your company, your raise and the investors you've already contacted. If you're ready, we'll help with intros through Eric's network. Brand new, so early adopters welcome.
@ikirigin What is really not understood is "you succeed when you're network succeeds". Which both means make friends but also means actively try to mine opportunity for your network.
@ikirigin It's more tough if you're a new grad or haven't been networking in the Bay all this time. I got lucky with my first Lyft job. I knew nobody in the Bay at the time being from Minnesota. I feel lucky that I've had the last ~8 years to build friends here.
After leaving AI to do a masters in immunology and start a 2nd PhD (in microbiology) I'm beyond thrilled that @math_rachel is returning to her original AI home! 🥳
She founded the Center for Applied Data Ethics *years* before most people realised AI would transform everything.
@__alpoge__ Next morning update: apologies for the midnight slopxplanation but I think I'm not insane? Jacobian Conjecture counterexamples are now too cheap to meter.
Here are 98 explicit polynomial maps from C3->C3, one for each generic fiber degree n=3...100: https://t.co/okEIRcwuqy
