Finally watched Moneyball.
Thought it was a sports movie.
Turned out to be one of the best masterclasses on startups.
Biggest takeaways: -
โพ Don't compete on resources. Compete on strategy.
๐ Data > opinions.
Measure what actually creates value.
๐ The best opportunities are often hiding where everyone else sees flaws.
๐ Every breakthrough looks wrong before it looks obvious.
๐ฏ Build systems, not heroes.
โค๏ธ You don't have to win first to change the game.
As a founder building from zero, this hit differently.
Highly recommend it to anyone building products, startups, or their career.
Watched it with some incredible founders and buildersโthanks for the amazing conversations @ @1997harkirat@prernaa_agarwal@SumersinghShow and the entire @AILearnCircle . ๐

Just wrapped up the 6 Hours discussion (11 PM to 5 AM) at @AntlerIndia with a fellow who was an Ex Founder, backed by @AntlerGlobal Singapore.
Learn a lot about his journey and how he gets into @antler, how he scales.
How did he get his co-founder?
What mistakes did they make?
Learn about how VC firms work and so on.
He is going to SF in two months.
I have also packed my bags to go with him ๐๐.
Grateful for @AILearnCircle Community and @1997harkirat
And @alankrit for the pizzas & samosa ๐๐

a quick mid-july check-in. half the month is already gone, so here's how things are looking so far:
1. @AILearnCircle website
two versions are done. spent the last couple of weeks refining it. the plan is to push it to production this weekend.
2. benchmark report launch @noveumai
probably the highlight of the month so far. the launch brought in a lot of inbound and thoughtful feedback. still digesting everything and will do a proper retro on what worked, what didn't, and how we can make the next launch even better.
3. gumloop guide
haven't done justice to this yet. ๐ marketing has taken a back seat, but the goal is to spend 20โ30 mins every other day promoting it during the rest of july.
if you're building AI agents on Gumloop, would love for you to check it out: https://t.co/0QTyrSJPaP
4. helping @Abhidwivedimany reach $1k MRR. he's now at 150+ users, and we'll soon do a GTM retro to figure out how we can accelerate growth. if you're at the MagicBall Agentic Summit by @grayscale_vc on the 22nd, do catch up with him.
5. at AILC, already wrapped up 3 events this month, and august is looking packed.
we've finalized:
- GTM Buildathon ร LIT School
- Poha Jalebi Club with @radhikamohta
- Paid Ads Workshop for Builders by @theishanvyas

lastly, huge congratulations to our Project Shipyard S2 builders @kupsas101 , @SankalpaSarkar , and @SaharshPamecha1 , on landing their first paying customers. that's exactly why we started Shipyard.
Project Shipyard Season 3 kicks off in the second weekend of August. more details soon.
still a lot left to do this month.
rooting for myself. because no one's coming to write this story for me.
p.s. photos are from our recent sessions with @HimUpreti (hosted at @Paytm bangalore), @DhanushyaSree (hosted at @helloquash ) and the @noveumai benchmark report launch day. more stories from each coming soon.
Just finished watching the documentary (Swiped) on the rise of @Tinder, @bumble, and the swipe economy.
What I expected: a story about dating apps.
What I got: a masterclass in startups, GTM, and product thinking.
A few lessons that really stayed with me:
โ Great products don't always win. Great distribution does.
โ The biggest innovation isn't adding more featuresโit's removing friction. Sometimes a simple swipe can change an entire industry.
โ Start by dominating one niche. Win one market before chasing the world.
โ Products grow because of human psychology, not technology alone. Understanding behavior is a bigger advantage than writing better code.
โ Network effects are one of the strongest moats. Every new user should make the product more valuable for everyone else.
โ Launching isn't the finish line. The real work begins with continuous experimentation, iteration, and growth.
The biggest takeaway for me:
A startup isn't built by asking,
"How do I build this product?"
It's built by asking,
"Why would people choose it, tell others about it, and keep coming back?"
As I continue building Reality Check AI, this was a timely reminder that building the product is only half the game.
The other half is understanding people.
And that's where great companies are made.
Thanks @rlgoldenberg , @AILearnCircle & @1997harkirat
