@Ed_Newton I suggested this because we used a CBC member-owned small business for work on our new home. When the materials were ready for installation, we found out he lost his day job and thus, we were helping him feed the family and pay his mortgage. I so want to help others the same way.

@Delta @markmorin I asked same question a few years ago (as a Diamond 3 MM) I qualify for Diamond based on segments (152 this year). Response was about the same. When I pressed on it, DL said the rationale is to keep folks flying after qualifying. Seems to me same is true for segments as miles.
