I was excited for my fitbit air but @googlehealth mobile app is a mess. data visualizations are bad, AI stuff taking up huge space. they need to drop the "card" concept that is showing the org chart since data is coming from different teams and build a coherent product.

This is very real. I've seen many high-powered software engineering ICs turn people managers and become completely detached from the tech. Like, you cannot imagine that they were ever truly technical.

If you make the step to management you need to be paranoid this does not happen to you. The good news: AI has made this 100x easier. There is just no reason not to have an agent hacking during that 1:1 about performance scores

- A year ago: 150k apps
- Today: > 1M apps
