Hey sir. We are not asking you to open source Anthropic. Just don’t lobby the government to shut down others who do. Jensen never framed other chips as “dangerous” or decides who can use CUDA based on who’s “safe”.
the era of autistic deep work is over
your agents are more autistic than you and better at deep work
welcome to the shallow work future
total ADHD dominance
@Suhail I think it’s mostly the growth stage investors that have deployed billions into these cos & are politically connected who are now moving to protect their investment by lobbying the government to shut off Chinese open source.
Been using Fable for some perfectly reasonable, non-biology, physics work. It has been doing amazing work so far for me.
I'm a professor of Pathology at Stanford... working in cancer biology. Not developing megawatt laser weapons, not hacking quantum computer encryption, not doing anything nefarious except working on techniques for measuring things at the atomic level. My eventual bio-goal is the 3D dynamic code of DNA and how it relates to immune-cancer outcomes.
Suddenly, Fable decides to hit a safety guardrail when it's almost finished (after 6 hours of work), after spending $100s of my credits. It terminates and forces me to hand over to Opus 4.8 or Sol. It doesn't even tell me "why" it hit a safety guard, so you could potentially protest or alter queries in the future.
So now I am left wondering how "dumbed down" the result will be?
And Anthropic wonders why their reputation continues to be sullied.
Anthropic-- I want my credits back! @anthropicAI
The International Math Olympiad (IMO) 2026, the hardest math contest for high schoolers, just ended.
I ran Fable (high), Sol (xhigh), K3 (max) and Axiom against it and all got a perfect score of 42/42 (repo below if you want to check their solutions):
— Claude Fable 5 was the solved it in 1 attempt, and was the fastest.
— GPT 5.6 Sol took 1 more attempts, and was cheapest.
— Kimi K3 did it but took 4 more attempts, and took a LOT of tokens.
— Axiom Math actually proved everything in Lean.
P3 and P6 were the hardest followed by P2, judging by attempts + num tokens.
Students had 9hrs to solve these 6 problems, and Fable and Sol were under 4hrs.
The frontier of AI has officially moved well past IMO math.
Anthropic's cyber security guardrails could lead to national security risks. Imagine if all Chinese enterprises have kimi and all American enterprises have Claude. When American enterprises face cyber attacks and ask Claude to help defend it, but Claude said such prompts are not safe and refuse to do anything. This needs to stop.
it's 2001. open-source Linux is better than Windows on servers. Steve Ballmer calls Linux "cancer", "communist" and asks for it to be regulated away
it's 2026. open-source LLMs are better than ChatGPT/Claude on costs. they are called "decelerationist" and "communist"
"Open-weight models are inherently decelerationist"
You young people do not know, but we went through exactly the same kind of bullshit when linux started to get market shares.
@hosseeb@deanwball Soooo, releasing Linux was dumping?
Apache, MySQL, PHP?
HTTP, TCP/IP, OpenSSL, OpenSSH?
Libjpeg, VLC?
The open source software stack of the mobile communication network?
Signal?
PyTorch?
Llama?
Do you know what open weights model actually decelerate? The formation and power of oligopolies.
You know, those things which really do stifle innovation.
