This year, I wish you less — less information, less food, less entertainment, less communication, less stimulation. You already have too much of all that, and it stands in the way of your serenity, health, sleep, and creativity. Merry Christmas! ☦️
Languages work via rough consensus
You cannot define words solely by yourself; you must use common definitions to communicate with others speaking the same language
If you define a word alone, you hard-fork into a private language with no one to speak it with, quickly descending into meaninglessness
Endless money printing is the source of most of your economic woes.
It's not 'billionaires', 'capitalism', or any particular race of people.
Your pounds, dollars, euros, naira, and yen are devalued daily.

I love this church. Perhaps the greatest building ever. But pyramids were also complex. Their challenges were in a way opposite to Gothic cathedrals. They had to be completed within the king's reign—a huge logistical problem. Their mass and embodied energy are just immense.
Why do students learn so much about the Egyptian pyramids and almost nothing about the great cathedrals that took far longer to build and were infinitely more complex?
This one took more than 600 years to build.
Here it is completed.

Sticks in ppl’s minds.
The SR-71 Blackbird flew 85,000 feet up at over Mach 3, where the air outside was –60°F but its titanium skin burned at 600°F from speed alone. At that height, the sky went black and the Earth curved below. A feat in American techno-futurism.
