Congratulations to Drs. Luisa Escobar-Hoyos & Peter Glazer on their 2025 Yale Cancer Center Award for Translational Science. Their work pioneers a new technology for targeted RNA delivery into cancer cells, a game-changer for treating hard-to-reach tumors.
Grateful to the @PershingSqFdn for inviting me to the Prix Galien USA gala celebrating breakthroughs in biomedical research! Honored to represent early-career scientists working to advance precision oncology and pancreatic cancer research. #PrixGalien#CancerResearch
Pancreatic cancer researcher and professor Luisa Escobar-Hoyos, MSc, PhD, saw her work hit too close to home when her mother Luz, also a cancer researcher and professor, was diagnosed with one of the world’s toughest cancers. 💜 https://t.co/6XVR9q5wNy
So, when Dr. Escobar-Hoyos had the opportunity to speak at a Congressional briefing on the importance of federally funded cancer research, she shared how her lab’s research depended on funding from our government — and how her work had become more personal than ever before. 🔬🧫

Excited to announce our newest paper in @ScienceTM about our tumor-specific, nucleic acid-binding TMAB3 antibody! Work done in collaboration w/ the #Glazerlab and co-led by our very own post-docs Dr. Diana Martinez-Saucedo & @nanamedici@YaleCancer@YaleMed
We found that TMAB3, combined with an RNA that stimulates the innate immune response, can penetrate tumors and inhibit tumor growth in #PDAC#medulloblastoma and #melanoma. Meaning TMAB3 has potential as a tumor-specific delivery mechanism for DNA- and RNA-based therapies.
Grateful to be one of the recipients for the Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Prize from @psscra! It will greatly help our work to develop a novel vaccine for pancreatic cancer. Work was led by our post docs @nanamedici
and Diana Martinez-Saucedo! @YaleMed@YaleCancer
Dr. Luisa Escobar-Hoyos and the @Escobar_Lab at @YaleMed are developing a novel pancreatic cancer vaccine that leverages the body's existing immunity to bacteria to target and destroy pancreatic tumors. Congrats, Luisa! https://t.co/F6NRqVbKJv
Please join us in celebrating the 2025 Pershing Square Sohn Cancer Prize winners! This year’s six scientists have been selected for their bold ideas and potential to transform cancer research. The winners are: https://t.co/evhTxzSBxA
What an amazing lightning talk by @dimartzs at #AACRpan24. Technical issues and no slides didn’t stop her from promoting her work on TMAB, a novel antibody that can deliver nucleic acids to tumors w/ #GlazerLab! @YaleCancer@YaleMed
