it’s clear we need to retire the term vibe coding because the models now produce better architecture & way more coherent code than an average software engineer.
perhaps even better than top software engineers too because unlike a human, ai has a much much larger context window.
this ain’t vibe coding at all. it’s precision engineering.
You are being clever by half, and that is rather unfortunate.
Nobody has condemned the idea of a coastal road. On the contrary, a properly conceived and executed coastal road is a laudable project with enormous economic potential. The issue has always been the wisdom of prioritising it over other federal roads in desperate need of attention. The FG abandoned those roads to pursue this grandiose project, and that is where the problem lies.
Then there is the opaque process of awarding the contract without competitive public bidding, the astronomical cost, and the sheer audacity of a project whose feasibility and funding capacity should have been subjected to serious scrutiny before commencement.
Yes, the project is audacious. Almost recklessly so. The question is whether this government has the competence, financial discipline and capacity to deliver it. Many of us argued from the outset that the project, as conceived, was simply too ambitious and expensive for a government that has demonstrated little fiscal discipline or capacity for coherent planning.
Now, with apparent detours on both the Lagos and Calabar ends, we must ask a fundamental question: what exactly are we building, and where is this road ultimately going?
You cannot celebrate the scale of a project while ignoring the absence of a credible, coherent plan for its completion. A road is not an achievement simply because it is expensive, stretches across several states or looks impressive in photographs. Its real value lies in its feasibility, utility and eventual completion.
The point has never been that Nigeria should not have a coastal road. The point is that we were sold an enormously expensive dream without sufficient evidence that the government had the competence, resources or even a coherent plan to deliver it.
That is the distinction you are deliberately glossing over. And frankly, pretending that legitimate concerns about cost, procurement, priorities and feasibility amount to political hostility is just another form of intellectual dishonesty.
My Visit to the Nigerian Air Force Facility
Further to my message yesterday, I visited the Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja today to formally sign the condolence register following the unfortunate aircraft crash.
The visit gave me another opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made daily by the men and women of our Armed Forces and other security agencies in the line of duty. These courageous Nigerians put their lives on the line to defend our nation and protect our people. We must never take their service and sacrifice for granted.
I extend my deepest condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and to the families, colleagues, and loved ones of those who lost their lives.
May God grant eternal rest to the departed and give their families the strength and fortitude to bear this painful loss.
May God continue to protect all those who serve our country. -PO
Ownership is not a feeling. It's a decision.
Most people treat their standards as a response to their environment performing when conditions are good, pulling back when they're not.
I've built my entire career on the opposite principle. https://t.co/YUIkXbvZAz
Protecting Every Vote. Winning 2027. Together.
My fellow Nigerians at home and abroad,
Over the past months, wherever I go and in your many messages, two questions keep coming up: How will our votes be protected in 2027? And how will we win?
These are fair questions, and you deserve direct answers.
This Sunday, I will answer you directly, and more importantly, listen to you. I will join you for A New Nigeria Global Digital Townhall. We will speak plainly about protecting every vote and the path to victory.
But this is not only about speaking to you. It is about listening to you. I want to hear your concerns, your insights and your strategies. This movement has always been built by you, and your ideas will shape what we do next.

Let us continue this conversation together. A New Nigeria is POSSIBLE. -PO
Everyone in Nigeria has a location. Now every location has a postcode.
Today, NIPOST launches the National Digital Postcode System, and I’m speaking to you from the heart of it: our new GIS lab, where every corner of Nigeria is being mapped and coded.
No more “turn left after the blue gate.” Your postcode connects you to deliveries, e-commerce, emergency services, banking and government services, wherever you are.
After a successful pilot in Abuja, it’s now live nationwide.
Know your postcode: https://t.co/91HP6bVST3
Proud to lead the team building infrastructure that puts every Nigerian on the map.
My deepest gratitude to President @officialasiwajubat for his vision and support under the Renewed Hope Agenda, and to the Hon. Minister @bosuntijani , whose leadership in building Nigeria’s digital economy made this possible.
Thank you to the NIPOST @nipostngn family, our partners, and every Nigerian who joined the exercise . This is national infrastructure built by Nigerians, for Nigerians.

Yesterday, I spoke with ARISE News on the Anambra debt question and other issues affecting our nation.
In the interview, I clarified the facts surrounding the multilateral development funds accessed by Anambra State, the financial position I left behind in 2014, and the urgent need to focus on the hardships confronting Nigerians rather than on political distractions. I am Sharing this interview to correct factual details, clear all doubts, and put the issues in their proper perspective.

During the last election I led an mini intercession chain for Peter Obi.
I want to do same, who is interested.
We organise prayers round the clock for the next election, I believe prayers must go alongside our efforts..
This was the day I finally decided to take a break. Since 2020 I have dedicated my art and platform to speaking up against injustice, bad governance and societal ills.
I remember all of it even during the 2023 Elections. There is nothing I will say now that I haven’t already said. And even though I know I can continue to do that, it just gets tiring.
A few of us can’t keep begging the Majority of Nigerians to earn their own freedom.
The oppressors will never let it go so easily. They are nothing without corruption and that is why they will stop at nothing to continue to enable the rot in our society at the expense of the Nation’s success and prosperity.
How can a few politicians continue to ruin the lives of over 200 Million Nigerians and do it so brazenly without any resistance! I’m sure they also cannot believe their luck.
Until Nigerians get rid of the survival mentality which conditions us to automatically operate on survival mode instead of a sane and enabling environment that gives every Nigerian the opportunity to succeed, then we are truly not ready.
Debunking the Phantom Debts and Ecological Loan Fallacy
My attention has been drawn to trending claims by the Anambra State Government that my administration left behind inherited debts, including a ₦2 billion ecological loan, contractor liabilities, and unpaid salaries, gratuities, and pensions. This is completely false.
We systematically liquidated historical gratuities and arrears dating back several years, amounting to over ₦35 billion. At the point of handover, the state owed nothing in salaries, gratuities, or pensions, nor did we owe anything to any contractor for projects duly executed and certified.
The ₦2 billion ecological fund in question was released barely three months before the end of my tenure for the Oko/Umuchiana erosion crisis. Despite pressure to spend the money, I refused, insisting that it should be left for my successor because government is a continuum and the funds were tied to a specific project.
The money was therefore left 100 per cent intact in First Bank, in Account No. 2018779464, with a balance of over ₦2.13 billion.
It is important to stress that funds tied to specific projects or set aside for particular purposes were not even included in the over ₦75 billion in savings we left behind.
If anybody can establish anything to the contrary, I will stop campaigning. -PO
In 2023, I supported Peter Obi, although I was never a member of Labour Party or any party in Nigeria because I reasoned that Nigeria’s most urgent and difficult challenge is breaking the stronghold of a criminal, corrupt state.
In 2027, that challenge has become more urgent and difficult.
Only one politician amongst all running for president has the proven integrity to pulverize the stronghold of criminal, corrupt state. Peter Obi. I choose him again. Make your choice.
But, remember, Nigeria has no chance of ever getting to development as a criminal corrupt state.
Reflecting on YC, "Make something people want" sounds almost too simple when you first hear it.
4 years later, I think the simplicity is the point.
Companies get more complicated. Teams get bigger. Strategies get more sophisticated.
But ultimately, if enough people really want what you're making, you have something to work with.
Everything else is really just optimization.
The NDC Presidential Candidate, H.E. Peter Obi, today attended the official opening ceremony of the campaign office of the APM Presidential Candidate, H.E. Seyi Makinde, in Abuja.
A President and the Endless Question of His Past
As a citizen of no other country, who has never sought foreign citizenship even when doing so became fashionable, my loyalty to Nigeria and my faith in her destiny remain unshaken.
Yesterday, 30th of August, being Sunday, I fervently prayed for our nation and for those entrusted with the solemn responsibility of leadership. I found myself deeply saddened by the direction in which our country is heading.
It is profoundly embarrassing that we have reached a point where a sitting President is asking a foreign court to withhold records concerning his past, particularly records relating to matters of legitimate public interest.
Leadership, in my humble view, demands the courage and humility to confront one’s history — to acknowledge mistakes, provide candid explanations where questions arise, and, where necessary, apologise and seek forgiveness. True authority is strengthened, not diminished, when a leader accepts responsibility rather than seeks to shield uncomfortable aspects of the past from legitimate scrutiny.
This becomes particularly important when questions concern educational credentials. Issues surrounding foundational schooling — primary and secondary — should not remain unresolved or be addressed primarily through legal proceedings. Nigerians deserve clear, credible, and verifiable explanations, especially when such had been submitted in the past.
My deepest concern is the example this sets for more than 200 million Nigerians, particularly the over 30 million young people in schools. The nation’s highest office should exemplify integrity, accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership.
An imperfect past is part of the human condition. What matters is the willingness to confront it with humility, honesty and deep apology, to make amends where necessary and, when circumstances so demand, to place the interests of the nation above personal ambition.
When will our political class fully appreciate that individual ambitions are temporary, while the nation endures? The Presidency is an office held for a season; the moral standards established by those who occupy it can influence generations.
Nigeria is greater than any one person, and the integrity of the Republic must always come before the interests of the individual.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
