@karen_s11@MaddernBryan@doctor2pi @SarahCeja03 @Duncannedd Hello Karen, I agree Google tools would have been helpful back in middle and high school. Before Google tools, students had to use flash drives to carry their projects, and it was easy to lose the drives. Google tools also save time in doing collaboration projects.
@maria_jauregui8@MaddernBryan @SarahCeja03 @Duncannedd Hello Maria! I agree that Prezi is a great tool for presentations. The site has different themes available for use, and it makes creating presentations fun. I wasn't aware there was a collaboration feature though; thanks for the info!
@MaddernBryan @SarahCeja03 A4) In high school, I would have loved using Google Slides. It doesn't require a flashdrive and its easy to share with others. Kids are able to experiment with the theme feature too. @Duncannedd#csubedte4200#CSUBTED
@dcortes238@Ststansberry@doctor2pi@joceperezCSUB Hello Diego! Audiobooks are a great idea. It would help students learn how to pronounce and use words in sentences. Kahoot also sounds like a fun way to learn English words that have double meanings or have confusing definitions.
@ashley765432@Ststansberry@joceperezCSUB@MaddernBryan Hello Ashley! I agree that Google Translate is a useful tool. It creates communication between students and teachers, and gives students an easier time finding translations for words or phrases.
@Ststansberry@joceperezCSUB A3) Duolingo and Quizlet can help ELL students learn the English language. I like Duolingo since it creates story scenarios, pronounces words for students, and gives tips on grammar. #csubted#csubedte4200@Duncannedd
@MsAmericand@tom_karnes Hi America! I had a hard time uploading video responses on FlipGrid too. I ended up using my computer's camera to record my video responses instead. I have never used FlipGrid until recently, so it was a pretty stressful ordeal.
@HildaObeso@tom_karnes@CsubMadelyns@doctor2pi Hi Hilda! I had a similar experience in high school when the teacher couldn't load videos for a study session. It wasted almost twenty minutes of class. Its unfortunate when things the teacher planned out don't work out like how they were supposed to.
@tom_karnes@CsubMadelyns A2) I had a teacher who wanted students to download a lockdown browser for a timed written test. A lot of us were confused since we've never used a lockdown browser before, and we weren't sure if we could upload our essays when it was enabled. @Duncannedd#CSUBTED#CSUBEDTE4200
@Uhmeliagall@doctor2pi@MaddernBryan Hello Amelia! One google collaboration feature I like is the Share feature since it lets students simultaneously work on projects. Teachers can check what each student did in the document by checking the doc's version history too. @Duncannedd#csubedte4200
@Jessica40721047@doctor2pi Hi Jessica! I agree Google Classroom makes working at home easier on both students and teachers. Teachers are able to make announcements and tell students about homework due dates ahead of time through the classroom feature too. @Duncannedd#csubedte4200
@doctor2pi A1) I found Kahoot to be an innovative tool in the classroom. The site helps quiz students on different subjects in a fun, easy way once its set up. The website is also accessible on both mobile and desktop. #csubedte4200@Duncannedd
