The problem with the welfare state and its confiscatory taxation system is that there are ZERO repercussions if politicians steal your money "legally" and squander it accordingly. Any system that decouples the natural link between causes and effects will lead to disaster. This is why what starts off as a small temporary levying of taxes more than 100 years ago becomes the tax code that we see today. Politicians do not view an individual's hard-earned money as theirs to keep. Rather they view your money as something that they allow you to keep a small portion of. Accordingly, you should be "thankful" that the government allows you to keep any of your money. This "proves" that they are kind and empathetic. It is a complete moral inversion of personal agency, liberty, and freedom. No system should take so much taxes from you that it forces you to work 10 extra years to make up for what was taken from you.

AI isn’t neutral, it’s programmed. It reflects the bias and input of the programmer. There are different AIs with different inputs and then they are used differently. Also, an AI can be asked a question and give one answer, then asked the same question again will give another answer. So it’s not a monolith.

One Nation doesn’t have to make everyone happy. In fact they shouldn’t even try. Don’t worry about even trying for majority government. Conviction and authenticity is what people want and that necessarily will alienate some people.

Look at the Greens. They have a fairly solid 6-15% of the voting base depending on the time and state. They are conviction politics no matter what whether you like it or not. However for about 10% of the vote look at their influence. Environmental politics dominates for decades and weaves itself into law. They hold the balance in the senate. That’s all you need.

If ON can convert their current numbers into seats in parliament then that will be more than enough. Those who think that there is some magical consensus that will bring people together are naive. As the current Labor government shows, you don’t have to be popular you just have to hold power. As the Greens show, you don’t have to numbers, you just need influence.

They haven’t rejected the pay rise, they are trying to negotiate conditions. Unfortunately schools have become defacto parents in today’s society where either both parents work, single parents, absent parents, no extended family to help or parents who don’t know how to raise kids at all. Teachers are meant to fill this gap plus excessive paperwork, reporting, violence- schools are at the top of most violent work places in Australia- sets up for enormous strain for teachers considering what’s expected from them.

Well, basically it’s about money. Either you can’t afford an 8 million dollar house where you want to live near the beaches, a 2 million dollar home in Kellyville and you don’t want to go in debt for a million dollar house in Mt Druitt.

So you leave Sydney because you just sold that eastern suburbs home and can now live like a king in Queensland or if you didn’t have inheritance or the bank of mum and dad you got out to somewhere, ANYWHERE where you could attempt to live a life vaguely human where you don’t suffer crushing debt
