The room is full of CID-area seniors who are still advocating for the 4th Ave Station. The board tried to claim they picked the North/South placement bc it saves money, but when Amazon asked for a more expensive station elsewhere on the line and suddenly there's money.
Write an @theactionnet letter to tell the ST Board not to waste time, money, and ridership experience on trying to move the SLU station. @SeattleSubway https://t.co/Hf8vY9HxGw
@sergiopAnsel@SeattleSubway It's a fairly busy graphic for a T-shirt. If we generated a simplified version without the writing, it might be cool. Until then, consider the Seattle Subway Shopify donation page. (The shoes run a little small)

The Democratic Party severely reprimanded Maritza Rivera for using disinformation tactics, including fabricating things about me.
We are both Dems and both get data support from the party.
It's extremely unusual to see a public reprimand from the party to one of its own.
The @37Dems have passed a resolution yesterday calling for a CID station on 4th.
“Be it resolved the 37th LD [Dems] call upon the Sound Transit Board to keep its voter approved promise to locate new stations at 4th Avenue at Union Station and Midtown.”

@mixio17 The good news is that future Link lines outlined in the @seattledot Transpo Plan will have some cool opportunities for gondolas...
But only if some group starts advocating now (and avoids the WSBLE NIMBY distraction).
Alaska Jnct ->ADML Jnct->Alki
Magnolia->Interbay->Upper QA
@meetjoenguyen can we open up large grant opportunities for @SoundTransit? (Also would be great to have the state weigh in heavily on a central transit station that actually serves riders...without a 10+ min walking tranfer.)
@mixio17@meetjoenguyen@SoundTransit Foolish to try to delay necessary LINK infrastructure. Assuming WSBLE (only) offsets 50k trips per day, the carbon cost recoupment is only 13 years. Ridership will exceed +100k in SDTT2 in the first year. Also a single tunnel won't handle future expansion into Seattle & King Co.
For anyone who missed it, here is the recording of last night's Complete Communities Coalition Forum!

Thank you @RealChangeNews, @UrbanistOrg, @Habitat_org, @tech4housing, @ChiefSeaClub, and all other members of the coalition for making this happen!
Hot off the presses! @seattledot released the first draft of their Seattle Transportation Plan. Check out its ambitious map for potential new light rail expansion routes 👀

@TheGsus@khoven@seattledot The answer to your question is YES! @SeattleSubway helped create an ammendment to the Regional Transit Authority in 2022. SB5528 allows for "Enhanced Service Zones" where Seattle could start planning and building ahead of the 5 zone RTA.
You may have seen the video of our friend, the brilliant @BikeLaneDiary taking traffic enforcement into his own hands. Here he is, dishing out dozens of yellow cards to rule breaking motorists. Someone's gotta do it eh TPS? #BikeTO 1/3
