As a former retarded liberal, I do genuinely understand how psychologically taxing the Freedom 250 event must be, esp for someone suffering from advanced TDS
Testosterone raging
Military aviation performing low-altitude affirmations of state capacity
Trump saluting with full sincerity
A statistically improbable density of red, white, and blue
Country music at government scale
Thousands of people exhibiting what appears to be national pride without even a hint of irony or self-loathing
It’s essentially every comment section’s worst-case hypothetical rendered into physical reality
You don't understand because you have the foresight of a goldfish. Breaking up tesla and spacex to fuel the consumption of the American underclass for a few months is precisely the type of shortsighted horseshit that keeps you and your ilk from building anything.
DC taxpayers spend money so that these kid's parents can be their neighbors and then need to spend more money to entertain their neighbor's kids so that their neighbor's kids don't rob and murder them on the nightly basis. Seems like an easy problem to solve.
This is the first “Late Night Hype” of the summer in DC. The Department of Parks and Rec has put these on since 2021 to give teenagers something positive to do. DPR will host weekly events like this for teens until September.
a personal pet peeve is when people use the aesthetics of sophistication and enlightenment (here being bespoke suits and western ivy culture) while simultaneously hating people who give that aesthetic its cultural meaning
@moseskagan@xwanyex I am sure this sounds right to a CA resident. But it is because of pension obligations. New England has huge pension requirements and it is political suicide to try and fix. They need to tax, sell bonds, and punt for the next administration. NE tax is a political ponzi scheme.
@RampCapitalLLC eww I mean yeah if you want your kids to go public and make prison shivs in arts and crafts. A milly minimum or kids are headed for the supermax
@buccocapital They used to say this back in 2019 about boomers. Kinda getting the feeling that every generation says this...You know the second best time to buy?
