@USTAEastern @usta If the USTA wanted to promote kindness which has everything to do with sportsmanship and mental health I am sure you can find a way to modify the lateness rules so they allow for the occasional extenuating circumstance.

The strict application of lateness rules in USTA junior tennis matches is disturbing. If a young player is late after being stuck in situations outside human control there should be some understanding. If we care about promoting kindness in sports @usta, @USTAEastern

@USTAEastern @usta The issue affects metro region disproportionately probably since the transportation problems are especially bad and facilities do not even want to run tournaments because they are not as profitable (in many occasions).
