The reason Penn as an INSTITUTION must make an example of her as an INDIVIDUAL is not because she is a bad person but because she failed to rise to be an examplar model of moral leadership, of excellence, of civic value, of virtue.

She gave an INVERTED commencement speech yesterday and the perverse upside down wisdom she imparted on students was this:

Do not stand up for what is right. Do not speak freely to defend virtue. Instead do this: surround yourself with lawyers, choose to listen to lawyers, evade saying or doing what you know in your heart is correct, what you would want your children to say because they heard you say it, instead do this: cloak yourself in cowardice. Hide in your hypocrisy and smirk with a shifty smug cleverness that send chills of shock and shame for all whom burnish the brand you are supposed to protect, with pride.
