Just the most incredible start to our Arts Week - a visit from the amazing @WakelingKate. The children loved seeing Kate perform and our day of poetry workshops culminated in a joyful grandparent sharing afternoon as part of the @Poetry_Together project.
Happy World Book Day! We’ve been wearing our comfiest clothes and enjoying a good book today, but last week we celebrated with a wonderful visit from the incredible @bookwagonuk So many great recommendations - our children can’t stop talking about the new books they discovered!
Always a dreamy day spent at CLPE, but yesterday especially with @jejr100 and @joetoddstanton. Also, a special thanks to JTS for mine and @everywhereread’s mysterious dedications… I enjoy the idea of my future classes discovering them with absolutely no context! ✨
Our February Author of the Month is the brilliant @OnjaliRauf. Our Y5s already have The Boy at the Back of the Class as one of their class readers so we’re excited to introduce the children to her other novels, short stories and non-fiction
The #PowerofReading ensures all children are included and represented so that each child can enjoy literacy learning.

This month we’re celebrating a publisher - @BarringtonStoke! Love the inclusivity and amazing range of great authors 🤩 A few of our faves on display and lots more on the shelves, ready for when the library opens tomorrow 🥳
Our display for our artist/illustrator of the month @NadiaShireen is all set up and ready to go! Our Year 2 children loved @clpe1’s PoP sequence for Barbara Throws a Wobbler with @charliehacking so I know they’re going to be so excited on Monday 🤩
