@turr1959 Thought it was going up more last night based on the spot prices, guess they're catching up. And the spot prices are up even more today so relief is unlikely in the near future.
@peggy_blair You have correctly characterized your question, (land)mines are not "planted" in the sea and remarkably the party that lays them know where they are, allowing safe passage for themselves and anyone else they provide that info to.
@turr1959 Here's a link for the price, it's in USD per US gallon. I'm not a commodity expert but while gasoline is made from crude it trades separately and has different supply/demand dynamics and speculation always plays a part.

@turr1959 The April contract for crude oil has nothing to do with weekly gas prices in February. The price to monitor is New York Harbor spot price for gasoline, that's what the adjustments are based on.
@noahcouture2x @Tablesalt13@KlairitySL People are very confused with net pay and net income, these are different. EI, CPP and tax deductions do not decrease your net income as calculated of the T1 tax return.
@007butthead@JeffreykBrace Indeed, my assessment went up 6%, mill rate same, so 6% increase in taxes when inflation was around 2% and they're patting themselves on the back
@StJohnsTelegram The mill rate is the same but the dollar amount of taxes will rise because of the increase in property assessments, taxes due is the assessment multiplied by mill rate.
@Martyupnorth_2 I was executor for my MIL a few years ago, she had a couple hundred pre 1968 quarters in her safety deposit box. Multiple beneficiaries, had to liquidate, think I got about $3 each at the time.
@dave_pasin@rodmickleburgh It actually couldn't be easier, every game of the WC has been on TSN and the Can/Aus game was on the full CBC network today.
@Noble41 The confusion stems from the fact that they named only the bypass section Peacekeepers in 2015 but maps have updated in the interim without any formal announcement that I remember.
