The Heartland Visa Act, which would flood rural areas with foriegner invaders, has been renamed!
It's now the State-Sponsored Visa Pilot Program Act of 2026 (S.5197) sponsored by John Curtis the senator for Utah.
Thanks to @atreyu_reign for keeping us on target.
NO! Most Americans wake by 6:30am. Permanent DST would delay sunrise past 8:45am in most states. Morning is when sunlight is most essential to health and safety. Restore permanent Standard Time, make clocks honest again!
Cotton is right, Trump is wrong.
Permanent DST is a mandate to wake an hour earlier than Standard Time, to start school/work in darkness all winter. It would put sunrise past 8am for 3+ months in most states, past 9am in 18 states.
Permanent Standard Time is the only safe clock!
In six years, including four of those years with a trifecta, there was never a single attempt from the White House to pass this and any conservative that tried to attach it to a must pass bill, got a call from the White House. This double game between campaigning and governing was always a problem, but now it’s gotten to a point where they where they literally campaign while they can govern. They wait until the trifecta is 100% going to be over to suddenly talk about this.
SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS FAST FOOD WORKERS, BUT I’M DONE…
I just ordered my own meal on a touchscreen terminal, selected my own drink, and walked to the counter to fetch my own tray.
Then the kiosk screen flipped around and asked for a 20% tip for "kitchen staff."
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
You cut 3 front-desk jobs to save on payroll, forced me to do the order entry myself, and now you want ME to supplement your workers' hourly wages because you refuse to pay them a living wage?
If I’m typing in my own order and carrying my own food, you should be tipping ME for doing the cashier's job.
THAT’S NOT A TIPPING CULTURE, THAT’S CORPORATE WAGE SUBSIDY.
“Morning sunlight reduces chronic disease. To have a permanent time and a reduction in chronic disease, we need Standard Time as our permanent.” —Sue Peters PhD
This is Korbin Colthorp.
He’s the ONLY doctor in Western Michigan University’s 28-person Family Medicine–Kalamazoo residency who attended medical school in the United States.
The other 27 went to medical school abroad.
27 out of 28. 96.4%.
Americans are told we have a doctor shortage.
Maybe we should start asking why the solution apparently isn’t training more Americans.
INDIAN COMPANY TO BUILD LARGEST STEEL PLANT IN AMERICAN HISTORY
They already fucked one state out of billions, and now they will build in our heartland.
Mesabi Metallics is owned by Essar Group. This is their leadership team. Essar is a Mumbai conglomerate run by the Ruia family.
This is not their first American steel plant. Essar Steel Minnesota started a taconite project in Nashwauk, Minnesota in 2008. They spent roughly $1.9 billion, left it half built, and filed for bankruptcy in 2016.
Minnesota pulled their mineral leases. The state spent years fighting them in court.
Essar bought the project back under the Mesabi Metallics name and made new promises to finish it. It is still not done.
Now the White House says the same company will build the largest steel plant in American history.
Same owners. Same playbook. Different state. Expect us to get fucked again.
Your kid needs 8 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars to become a resident doctor.
High School → 4 years college → 4 years medical school → Residency
Meanwhile, someone from India, Pakistan, or Sudan can finish a 5-year program after high school, come to US on H-1B/J-1 visa, and take the same residency.
High School → 5 years medical school → Residency
Why is it easier for them to become US doctors, and so much harder for our kids?
“Congress is working on a bill to restore Standard Time… Most people will be pleased… Going back to nature’s time has several advantages…” On this day in 1974.
Can't have a DJI drone, and we need infinity hyperscalers to beat China ...
... but also we're gonna sell them weapons and let 600K Chinese students in.
