A founder built an AI voice-scam detector this week after a deepfake caller convinced her grandfather his brother had been kidnapped.
He paid before he even realized the voice wasn't real.
Americans lost almost $900M to this last year. Up 24%.
Here's what that means if you sell organic content for a living:
TRUST used to be a soft metric. A nice-to-have.
Now, it's becoming the actual thing you're getting PAID to build.
Views got cheap. Trust just got expensive. Price accordingly.
@drewmarkets Personality ISN'T the differentiator, it's the TELL.
The second something feels scripted, people clock it as an ad and scroll.
Personality is just proof a REAL person is actually saying this. That's the whole trust transfer.
Every discovery call, someone asks some version of: "how many views can you get us?"
Wrong first question.
The right ones:
-Who does this content actually reach?
-What action do we want them to take?
-What happens after they watch and don't buy today?
A view count tells you reach happened. It doesn't tell you if the right people showed up, or what you're going to do with them once they did.
Ask about the funnel before you ask about the number.
Views tell you a hook worked, shares tell you it resonated, but SAVES are the one that means someone's planning to come back and actually buy later. If a video's getting saved more than shared, that's not just a viral clip, that's purchase intent hiding in your analytics.
@eglitisX 40K views β 40K people paying attention. I'd ask for his engagement rate and results from past paid collabs. Reach without proof it converts is just a nice sounding number.
